The screams grew louder the smell of blood was hanging heavily in the air. Surrounding Serenity as she lay dying on the floor. Her vision blurred in and out of focus her heart was pounding roughly against her broken ribs, she was scared and confused where was she? Why couldn't she move and why was she covered in blood? The panic of her thoughts set in. "Xavier!" she cried out placing her hands on the cold sticky ground. She rolled over blacks webs flashing behind her eyes as pain radiated through her body, tears rolling hotly down her cheeks. What the hell was going on why wasn't she with Xavier?  "Don't move Serenity." A soft pained voice said Serenity looked around her stopping when she laid eyes on her mom, the woman who died years ago to a break in. "Mom," she whispered blinking so her vision could clear up. She was home again, the worst night of her life, one that was forever stuck in her mind. "Serenity listen to me, I want you to get up and run and never look back." her mom said urgency in her voice. Serenity was shaking her head when loud booted footsteps pounded up the stairs the impending fear grasping hold of  Serenity just as it had that night. That's when he walked into the room. A man taller than normal his face was hideously vile, his teeth were long and yellow with blood dripping from his mouth. His stride was purposeful as he grabbed her mother his teeth ripping into her throat, "No!" Serenity screamed.

"Serenity wake up." Strong hands grasped her shoulders and Serenity jumped up her body coated in sweat and her hands shaking. She looked around her seeing that she wasn't in her childhood home or Xavier's house but in a small enclosed space. "Where are we?" she croaked her throat dry from screaming in her sleep. "Airplane on the way to New Orleans, you fell asleep so I put you in the cabin to sleep." Xavier looked over her his hands resting on her shoulders and going up to her throat where his thumbs went over the racing pulse. "You're okay now," he whispered watching as Serenity slowly began to relax her eyes meeting his. "Thank you." Xavier inclined his head standing up, "We landed a few minutes ago we need to get going." Serenity nodded climbing up from the bed in the cabin following closely behind Xavier trying to keep up with his long strides as he led her outside into humid heat. It was dark out and the smell of flowers filled the air like smoke and the humidity made her hair stick to her skin, but she couldn't focus on what was going on around her, all she could do was relive that night mare over and over again. It was the one thing she worked so hard to forget and it was coming back to haunt her.

Xavier pulled Serenity into a car shaking her away from her mind making her look at her new surroundings. "Where are we going?" she asked as Xavier went through traffic as if he has been there before. "A plantation house." Serenity waited for an explication but he gave her none just kept his eyes on the road. Great now she had to deal with her night terrors and his hot and cold mood swings she thought turning towards the window watching as crowds danced in the streets. As beads flew from tops of buildings landing around the crowd of people who laughed and danced to loud music. Serenity was dazed wondering what on earth was happening and what everyone was celebrating. "What are they doing?" she asked Xavier turning away from the flashing women and drunk men. "They party like this everyday.  New Orleans is the party capitol of the world." Serenity looked at him, "So to fix our Draco problem we will be partying?" Xavier chuckled the sound soft but husky as if he didn't laugh much. "No we are here because the oldest immortals reside here. My oldest friend Athena is here. She broker a bound once to someone who has forced it on her so she's going to help us. Not to mention ligars are helping us to fight Draco, we can use all the muscle we can get considering."                                                                          "Because I don't know how to use my powers." Serenity finished for him sitting silently for the rest of the ride hoping that in some way she could figure out her powers so she can get away from Draco and away from the immortal world she was suddenly forced into.
