I'm still bothered as to what Tito Michael told me. How can I tell Maxine about her father? I mean, how can I help Tito? Argh. Hindi ko alam.

Knowing Maxine, baka magalit sya kapag nalaman niyang alam ko. Hay.

Maxine is mad of her father. She told me that when her mother suffered from sickness. I witnessed Maxine when her mother is dying. Sobrang nahihirapan siya noon kasi hindi niya alam ang gagawin niya. She's young and she's very close to her mother and the latter is very supportive to her. Kaya we always cheer her up noon. Pero hindi pa rin maalis sa kanya na hindi sisihin ang kanyang Papa.

I don't really know kung bakit iniwan sila ng Daddy niya. Siguro naman, there is enough reason kung bakit umalis ito noon. I sighed.

I'm here in the site at medyo busy kami ngayon. Mr. Dizon will come and he wants to see his almost done resort.

Sobrang ganda ng resort. I mean, the design is not just a typical resort na makikita mo everywhere. There's a touch of Filipino culture in a modern world life. Magaling nga talaga si Maxine. I smiled.

"Hey. You're spacing out Ethan. Is there something wrong?", si Pau. We're outside the office to check the materials.

Nag-usap na kami ni Pau about what happened before and he felt sorry dahil naghiwalay kami ni Maxine. But something is wrong about him, parang may tinatago sya but I just took it for granted because it's already in the past and okay naman ang nangyayari ngayon. He always tease us pa nga kaya napapangiti na lang ako.

I sighed, "Nothing", I said and I continue checking out the materials needed, "Can I ask?"

"What is it?"

"If there's someone that came back into your life that really has a big effect from your past. What will you do?"

He creased his forehead, "I know it right? Is this about Maxine?"

"How did you know?", I asked.

He sighed, "I know Ethan. Maxine's father found them. Am I right?", I nodded, "Tito Michael told me about him. Gusto nyang pabantayan si Maxine sa atin dahil alam niyang galit ito sa ama niya"

"But why? I mean, bakit naman pababantayan?"

"I don't really know why, basta ang alam ko lang ay kailangan nya tayo ngayon kahit hindi niya pa alam ang nangyayari"

"Yeah right", tipid na sagot ko sa kanya.

"Wait. Maiba tayo. Kumusta naman kayo?", tanong niya.

"We're fine. And Macky also. We're okay", I said. Napangiti na lang ako.

"Good to hear that!", he said, "Alam ko namang okay na kayo. Ang ibig ko kasing sabihin ay yung kayo. Yung relasyon nyo. Ganun"

"Our relationship? I think.. ahmm.. well, we're friends", sagot ko.

"Friends?", he chuckled, "You just settle for that? tsk tsk"

"For now.. yes"

"You're so weak"

"What?!", I exclaimed.

"What's wrong with what I said?", sabi nya, "Alam mo bro, bakit hindi mo sya tanungin na maging kayo ulit? Sus. Dun din naman ang punta nyo"

"I'm just afraid", I said. Yeah. I'm afraid. I'm scared na baka hindi niya ako sagutin because she's not yet ready. I sighed.

"Oh, marunong palang matakot ang isang Ethan James Stevenson? Hmm", he said, "You're scared because she might dump you? Ganun ba? Alam mo Ethan, mahal nyo naman ang isa't isa eh, ramdam ko nga yun, kayo pa kaya?"
