As I opened the door, I saw Mr. Dizon, Mr. Agoncillo's secretary, Hailey and Pau, her ex-boyfriend. Anong ginagawa niya dito? Don't tell me we're gonna work together?

It's not that ayoko sya makatrabaho pero I don't know, I just felt worried about Hailey, well she's my friend after all. But we are professionals here so dapat work mode lang.

Naupo na ako katabi ni Mr. Agoncillo at kaharap ko si Hailey with Mr. Dizon at her side and Pau next to him. Hindi pa pumasok si Maxine kasi may kukunin lang daw sya sa office nya. I greeted them all.

I don't know what Pau was thinking but he keeps on staring at me and then to Hailey and then back at me. Minsan nakakailang.

As the door opened, I saw Maxine was in shocked but she glared to Pau at tumaas ang kilay nito. Do they know each other? Because all I remember hindi sila magkakilala ni Pau back in college.

Umupo na sya next to Mr. Agoncillo at kaharap niya si Pau. All I see is nagpipigil ng tawa si Pau and Maxine is still in poker face. She greeted Mr. Dizon.

"Good afternoon Mr. Dizon" she said with all her smile kaya I can't help but to smile too, "I never thought you would bring your pet dog here?" At bumaling sya ng tingin kay Pau na ngayon ay masama na ang tingin sa kanya.

I look at Hailey and she just shrugged. I don't even know what is happening. So it means they knew each other? How come?

Natawa lang sina Mr. Dizon at Mr. Agoncillo and here I am, still surprised.

"Hoy grabe ka sa akin May!" Pau said, "Akala ko nga kawayan yung naglalakad kanina pagpasok mo eh"

And with that, Maxine gave him a death glare.

"Do you know each other?" Hailey and I said in unison. And everyone look at us.

Pau just nodded and smiled at me while Maxine just rolled her eyes on us. I sighed. Does she hates me that much?

"So what brings you here? And by the way, ikaw lang mag-isa?", she asked. Napakunot ang noo ko.

"Wow, ako ang nandito but you're looking someone else? Unfair mo!" Pau replied, ganito ba talaga sila kaclose?

"Shut up! Alangan naman ikaw hanapin ko eh nandito ka! Baliw!" Maxine said kaya natawa na kami and napakamot na lang ng ulo si Pau.

"Okay, cut it out. Maya na kayo magharutan" Mr. Agoncillo said.

Mr. Dizon just gave instructions to us kung ano ang trabaho ni Pau sa project namin. At yung dalawa, may sariling mundo. Ewan ko sa kanila. Wala akong pakialam! Hays. Wala nga ba? O naiinis lang ako? Argh. Ano ba Ethan! Focus.

Our meeting went smooth at okay naman na. Nandito lang kaming apat sa conference room because Mr. Dizon and Mr. Agoncillo talked privately sa office nya.

"So, how are you Ethan? I never thought magkakatrabaho tayong apat. What a small world!" Pau said, I looked at Hailey at yumuko lang sya.

I smiled and said, "I'm fine. Yeah. Medyo happy na rin sa work ko"

"Bakit medyo? Hindi ka ba masaya? Hindi ka masaya na makatrabaho si Maxine?". He teased while he glared at Maxine na ngayo'y parang kakatayin na sya sa titig pa lang.

"No, it's not that. I'm glad working with her, of course!" I said at napatingin ako kay Maxine pero kay Pau lang sya nakatutok.

"Kung nakakamatay lang ang titig mo, sigurado akong nasa morge na ako! Sorry na May, love mo naman ako di ba? Sorry na" paglalambing ni Pau kay Maxine. I saw Hailey na napaangat ng tingin at bumaling kay Pau.
