My mission,

Addiction

Taking over control from the inside

Eventually being the calm of your life

And you take another breath

Or a swig, too much causes death

It'll make you happy

Stress free, not sappy

Delusion, gambling a good time

Soon the money'll run dry

You be pulled into too much debt

And you'll have to sell, barely any of your life left

The kicks and punches

The KO's and the bad guy's hunches

Laughing menacingly

"Come play with me"

Price tags matter not

So you just buy the lot

Maxing out the credit cards in store

And still, you want more and more

You're feeling down

Crying without a sound

But you can't live without the negativity

The glass has to always be half empty

You need to change your appearance

Maybe a little cosmetic lift of face

No markup for the plump lips

Just a shot of morphine and a needles tip

Want some ink on your body

Maybe a mermaid or something folly

But you don't stop at one

Just pretend at fifty, it's still fun

Forget the ink, prefer the scars

The blood running from my arms

I need to do this

I can't not deserve it

Well these addictions

Follow many descriptions

But there are quite a few more than these some

And you never know, do you have one?

A/N

This is about different types of addictions, I knows there's a few I left out (like sex, overeating, kleptomania, body mutilation, etc.) but I didn't really want this poem to be any longer so... Yeah...

Thanks for reading these, if you are.
