Crimson

Crimson tears falling on the floor
"I just can't do this anymore"
Falling ever so gracefully
Into the black abyss that waits for me

Far into the darkness, there is a light
But this is one of a special kind
It glows on all but a dull whim
And until you get closer, the darkness will win

She's alive, the heart monitor beeps
The doctors rush in, you can hear their feet
They inject you with some morphine
To dull the pain and kill those fiends

Smiling dumbly when you get out
Lock away the pain, nothing comes from your mouth
You go about your "normal" life
But occasionally "slip" with the knife

You don't know what to do
So you're just going to act cute
The pills slip down your throat
Make you sleep until the others don't gloat

They can't help you this time
Now you feel fine
They came too late
And this is my fate
