It's a desire

A need

It drives you haywire

Stuck under a delusion

Of pure confusion

I'm going crazy right now

You say I'm cute, smart and brave

But all I can think is "how?"

I'll never get the perfection I crave

Just get it over with

Beat me at my own game

Kick me until your legs are stiff

Who cares anymore? I don't need the blame

I'm going to say goodbye to you

I'd say I'm sorry, but that's a lie

Selfish and stupid beyond truth

But I had to go and fly

Only with them will I lie

Unmarked in this undefined life

Where I shan't be remembered for longer than a few months

I'll fade with the rest of us.
