The Dreamers

Looking above from the ground you may see
Those petty lives and the fools of day dreams
But if you look closer, they are more than what they seem
'Cause after all, they're smart enough to dream

But if I were to ask one of those day dreams
What would happen if the nightmares were reality?
They'd look at me and smile sadly
Well it's just learning to cope that makes it worth living

So sit down and watch the world pass it by
For there's a lot you don't see when going on with "life"
Like all of the little people in the world who are quite nice
It's a shame most of them gave up their fight

Now if you sit and ponder or just really dwell
You'll realise this world can be your hell
But you've gotta smile and make sure your head is highly held
Keep it there and maybe it'll be your saviour as well

I will fight for you
And I will try for you
But there are just some things I couldn't bare to do
Just because it's there doesn't mean it's true
