Superhumans

These Superhumans can't fight
But they'll try one more night
Talk you out of that last night
And save a life

Those scars on their wrists
They're the fighters of this
The darkened bliss
That everyone seems to miss

I don't want you to go through any more
Because, although we know what's in store,
We have no one other flaw
Than to want to die on the floor

We tell our stories though it's never enough
Wash the shame upon ourselves just to get some love
And then we cover up all our cuts
Just to go and help people through their stuff

Real Superhumans don't exist but we can try
We encourage and repeat until we save their lives
Whilst this past never ends and we always cry
One thing you know is true is that we always lie.
