Childish woes

And terrible plights

Do the songbirds crow

And the magpies cry

Take flight from the nest

Flap those young wings

Or perhaps greet death

The Iris bird sings

The night, though dark, needs more

To hide different wonders

An owls "coo", a Ravens "caw"

And a lorikeets slumber

Jest and mock do those mocking birds

Just joke around do these cockatoos

Kookaburras laugh and crows "cur"

Those are the sounds of the Bird Song Blues
