It's cold in my mind darling
Why don't you colour me in?
Wrap your arms me
Won't you please warm up to me?

The sunset's never had this much faith
Because everyday is just another filled with rain
These nights never hold so much close
But the stars in the sky, well they say we're bellicose

The grass seemed greener at the time I proposed
Instead it's a nightmare draped in a daydream's mould
These piers and beaches never meant that much to me
They were all part of the same strange feeling

Look at these times you've typed upon your hands
That happenstance smile set in a frozen laugh
We're just painted on the wall for all to see
Just for our circumstance to bleed

Create this small figurine of pity for yourself
Instead of going forward you're hitting reverse
Falling into this crazed ditch of cat and mouse
Chasing each other around a threatened noose

It's dark in my mind dear
But I can see you still clear
Distorted within this static picture
Walking around a guardian's blur

Frozen in the smile of yesterday
Cruising in faith of taking the blame
Never held or hold lost ties loose
So I stand on the edge, hung with my noose
