*Cameron's POV*

Light shone throughout the room, awakening me from my slumber as I stretched on the bed, yawning. My eyes slowly opened, struggling to adjust to the light as Adrian's voice drifted to my ears.

"Wakey, wakey! Time for school." He beamed, looking way too happy for how early it was. Was he a morning person?

I sat up in bed, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes as Adrian outstretched his hand towards me. I watched it in confusion before I heard him laugh.

"My phone." My eyes widened as I blushed furiously and sheepishly handed him back his phone that lay still on my pillow from the night before.

"Sorry" I whispered, feeling so embarrassed but Adrian just chuckled again, reassuring me he didn't mind before he excused himself, telling me to shower and come down for breakfast. I just nodded as I dragged myself out of bed.

This room was different from Adrian's and unlike his, this one did not have an en suite. That's when another thought hit me, I didn't have any clothes.

My eyes travelled around the room as I wondered what to do, I didn't grab anything when I ran, I didn't have the time, so the only things I had were what was on my person when I left, which unfortunately wasn't a lot. Just the clothes on my back and a necklace that my mother had given me before everything that happened. It wasn't anything special, just a plain silver necklace with the letter C. I don't know why I hung onto it all these years but it was the only thing I had left of her.

Before I could completely lose myself in depressing memories, there was a knock on my door that Adrian had left slightly open.

"Come in." Zach peered around the door, with a small smile on his face. He stepped into the room, holding a folded pile of clothes.

"I'm not sure how well they will fit you, Kaden plans to get you some clothes when he can but for now, I'm the closest to your size." He held out the clothes for me to take and I stared at him, shocked.

"Y-you really don't have to, I could just-uh..." I guess I didn't have any other options, I didn't even have a cent to my name and all my clothes were back at the facility and there was no way I was going back there. I scratched the back of my head, smiling sheepishly as he sent me a knowing smile.

"Thank you." I whispered, taking the clothes from him and he smiled brightly.

"No problem, school starts at 9 so make sure you're ready. Oh and Adrian's making breakfast, you should eat." Just as long as it's not pizza, I could definitely go for some food right now. I shook my head, who ate pizza for breakfast?

I thanked Zach once more before he left, telling me the bathroom was just across the hall.

Hesitantly, I stepped out of the room and after seeing nobody around I approached the door in front of me, which was in fact a bathroom.

I made sure to lock the door and then took in my appearance in the mirror. I looked slightly better than I did yesterday but I still looked rather pale and my hair was a mess from sleep.

Turning on the shower, I allowed the water to heat up to the perfect temperature before stepping into the shower and letting the water cascade down my body.

Today would be my second day at school and I was rather excited but also nervous. I would see Gabriel again today but I felt slightly embarrassed after last night. It was a wonderful experience, falling asleep to his voice but would he think I was being childish? He did offer though but maybe I shouldn't have called him so late. He said he didn't mind but that would just be the nice thing to say. In reality, nobody likes being woken up, especially in the middle of the night.
