The next morning, i'M woken up by a few rays of sunlight that managed to get past my curtains. I groan and cover my face with the blanket. I've always hated mornings.

I drag myself out of bed and into the bathroom. I take a quick shower and go through my wardrobe for something to wear.

Eventually I decide on a pair of black skinny jeans and a blue and red off the shoulder top. I lace up my almost knee high black leather combat boots. I brush my teeth and try to tame the monstrosity I call my hair. Its almost unmanageable, but I find a way to coax it into a ponytail for the day.

I grab my bag and put in my headphones playing Black Veil Brides pandora station as I walk out the door and lock it behind me.

As I walk to school, I cut through the forest. Listening to my music, I look around and up at the trees. The sunlight is filtered trying to get through the dense cover of green leaves.

I go to step over a fallen tree limb when I feel something watching me. I tense my shoulders a bit but keep walking. I reach into my pocket and pause my music, but don't take my headphones out just in case. I pretend I drop something and spin around bending over to pick up the imaginary dropped item. I scan the area around me and stop dead in my tracks when I see it.

A few feet in front of me is a wolf. But not just any wolf, this wolf is the size of a small grizzly bear, it's pure white with one little black streak behind the left ear, and since I know there are no polar bears in the United States, it must be a werewolf.

By its posture, stance, and low growl, I can tell its not happy to see me, and by its slender and slim but not weak frame, I can tell its female. She glares at me with a mixture of lavender and indigo eyes filled with hate and loathing.

Her claws sink into the dirt and it lets out some form of a bark mixed with a growl aggressively. I Instinctively take a step back and move into a defensive stance realizing that werewolf saliva is laced with revein naturally, and a bite could easily kill me.

I feel my fangs sharpen and lengthen poking out a little from under my lip, I let out a small hiss threateningly. The she wolf pulls her lip back revealing large, sharp white teeth capable of ripping me to shreds. The fur along her back raises and it growls again taking a step towards me.

Before we can go at each other, a black wolf with light emerald green eyes with one small white streak behind the right ear leaps in between us growling loudly at the she wolf. She tries to sidestep around the other wolf and lunge at me but the black wolf jumps at her letting out a menacing growl.

The black wolf, being about a foot taller and wider than the she wolf, lowers his head. By the demeanor of the the wolves, they must be at least in the same pack or family, or the she wolf would be in pieces by now.

They snarl, yip, and bark back and forth as if having a private conversation I cant understand. I relax just a little bit letting my fangs sheath back into their dormant state. I take a step backwards, not turning to leave, but causes the she wolf to turn, look at me and snarl again. Only to be silenced by the male wolf.

I wait for them to return to their conversation before turning and running almost full speed away to school more annoyed than scared. I smooth down my hair a little before going inside the school's front doors.

I make my way to my locker and put in the combination. I take some books out and shove them in my bag, replacing them with others. I go to my homeroom/ first period which is biology. I take my seat and wait for the bell to ring.

I sit there staring off into space wondering what the hell just happened out in the woods, but unfortunately I snap out of my reprieve when someone walks over to me. I look up to see the familiar face of Ash, and an unfamiliar face of a girl next to him.

The tall girl next to him, at least a few inches shorter, struts up reluctantly behind him, he gives her a wary glare before introducing her.

"Jade, I'd like you to meet my older sister, Sasha."

Sasha stares down at me with a frown plastered onto her thin face. Her jaw bone was slim and narrow and she had fair, if not pale like skin, with a thin nose.

Dark long wavy hair ended inches below her shoulder blades. She simply wears a low black tank top and a short leather jacket, exposing little skin leading down to dark navy blue jeans. But that is not what catches my eye, it's her peculiar eye color, a sort of indigo lavender. She narrows her eyes after a few seconds and turns to her brother.

I can see the similarities between them. They both have dark brown hair with lighter natural highlights, and the same narrow, sophisticated face, and even tan skin tone. I can see the differences as well, where Ash has a wide, muscular shoulder set and chest, Sasha is thinner, but not weak looking either. Ash has vivid green eyes, and Sasha has an almost lavender colored eye.

She glares down at me as If I did something wrong, so I stand up.

"I'm guessing that was you two in the woods this morning.... Its nice to meet you Sasha, I'm Jade."

I try acting polite but she just looks me over, then looks at Ash with a disgusted expression saying,

"Ash, your not really lowering yourself to hang out with this blood sucking whore are you? I mean come on, a vampire, really? This is pathetic, look at it, its so, so....-"

Ash cuts her off with a cold glare and I grind my teeth together clenching my hands into fists. He says,

"Sasha, that is extremely rude. Jade is new here, and my friend, I cannot believe you right now, just because she's a vampire doesn't mean she's bad, or a whore, have some manners. Not all vampires are bad, I've come to learn that, and so should you."

"Seriously, Ash? Sticking up for this scum of the supernatural world? Your softer than I though little brother, befriending a vampire just because it has a pretty face, its truly pathetic. Mother and Father wouldn't approve of this friendship."

That's where I can tell Ash has had enough, I can see in his face that he's snapped inside. He lets out a low growl towards his sister.

"Don't you dare lecture me about thinks mom and dad would approve of, that's overstepping your boundaries."

She laughs and walks away muttering,

"Whatever you say little brother."
