Chapter 66

-JAMIE'S P.O.V-

"Seriously, Koala?"
"Yeess."
    I lean in and kiss her belly again. How do I not do this? I'm addicted to her in every way and this is just beautiful. I love it, her and Alex.
     And her giggles that I get when I kiss her stomach is angels singing me the most sweetest melody possible.
     I kiss her belly a few more times before laying my head back in her lap. Her eyes stare into mine. I raise my hand and cup her cheek, she leans into my touch.
"You're so beautiful, Lynndsie."
"You're beautiful too, J."
     I smile to her and withdraw my hand. I turn my head and kiss her belly again. She woke up about an hour ago because Alex thought it would be a good idea to kick her.
    I press my hand to her belly lightly and as I do, Alex kicks. I can't help but smile to it.
"Are you feeling better, Ly?"
"Yeah. She was just kicking hard."
     We're at mid October and she doesn't want to come out. But we're patiently waiting. The thought of holding her is the most heart melting thing I have ever felt.
"Can we sleep a bit more, J?"
"Yeah, babe."
    I sit up, she lays on her side and I spoon her. Lightly placing my hand to her belly. She hums to me for the touch.
    I kiss her shoulder lightly and smile. This woman is due to me soon. Soon for our Alex...
     Our boss, Alex, came back almost immediately after having her baby. Her son was born a little early but perfectly healthy. But she came back to work... So Lynn isn't stressed.
     We have saved every penny we could and now we're not worried so much on things becoming difficult. And I've done good preventing stress for Lynn. I've done everything I can for her and our baby.
"Jamie.." She yawns as she coos for me.
"Ly.."
"Koala."
"Mm."
"Jamie."
"Nm"
"Koala." Her voice softer.
      I take a deep breath and lightly kiss the back of her neck.
"I love you, Ly."
"I love you too, Koala." I faintly hear as I drift into sleep with her in my arms.
    And a very weird dream. But I'm greatful.

"In less than an hour, Bird. Be ready."
"Thanks, Dad."

    I wake up before she does, which I guess is a good thing. Sneaking out of bed and grabbing all the things we need. I had a dream I wouldn't be so calm.. But thanks for helping with that part, Dad.
    Quietly I go downstairs with our stuff and put it in the car. As I go inside, I put out food for our animals before heading upstairs to get Lynn. I'm calm but I'm terrified at the same time.
    Walking in to her sleeping, I feel bad waking her... But it's nearly 3 in the morning and I was given a timer. I kiss her cheek lightly and she stirs.
"J?"
"Yeah, babe. It's time to go."
"What do you mean?" Her eyes slowly open.
"Do you trust me?"
"Of course I do, Koala."
"Come on."
    Offering my hand, she takes and I help her sit up. "I don't understand."
"We're going to take drive." I kiss her cheek and help her stand up.
"Where?"
      I offer her my hoodie she had gotten me a while back ago. It fits perfectly, thank you me for liking baggy boyish clothes. I take her hand and lightly tug.
"I'll tell you in the car. Trust me, okay?"
     I don't want to tell her because it could stress her into it. And I'd much rather her be closer to help before it all starts. I should have seen it coming sooner than I did because she was showing more and more signs leading up to now.
    Being constantly tired.. Her back hurting more.. cramps.. And a few other things. And Alex has been waking her up every night with her kicking.
    We had only been asleep for about 20 minutes but that's all he needed to tell me.
     As we get to the car, I assist her in. Quicking going to the other side, I climb in. "Where are we going?"
"The hospital."
    Her hand squeezes mine and she starts our way to the hospital. About half way to the hospital she squeezes my hand tightly.
"It's alright, Ly." I bring her hand to my lips and lightly kiss.
    Her grip on my hand lightens.
"Do you want me to call anyone?"
"My dad.. your mom..."
"Mom is in the building working, Ly. As soon as you check in, she will come running."
