Chapter 82

-ZEE'S P.O.V-

    Rose continues working as I set coffee down for her. She looks over and smiles to me. "Thanks, babygirl."
"I put Andrew down for a nap."
"He do okay?"
     I spin around in a my peefree shirt. She laughs at me. "Good, I guess." She turns back to be work.
    I kiss her cheek and lightly rub her shoulders. She hums to me but sighs quickly.
"Zee. I'm working."
"But I wanna take a naaaap. And I can't sleep without you."
"Babygirl."
     I pull back from her. I run and flop on the bed.

~    When are you guys going to get done?
      'Probably in 5 minutes.'

    And the timer starts. I like Jamie working with Rose. They challange each other.
    Nice guess on Jamie's part because in literally 5 minutes Rose plops down next to me.
"Hey babygirl."
"You take nap with me now?"
"Yeah. We can take a nap."
"I fucking love you."
   She laughs at me. "I love fucking you."
"No. No. None of that. Not right now."
"You just don't because I.."
"Haven't healed. Don't you dare say otherwise. Nothing changed." I cut her off.
"But I hav."
"NOT CHANGED." I cut her off again.
"Zheeeeee."
"You haven't changed. We won't until I know you're healed. Don't think otherwise."
"No need to get mad at me. I'm sorry."
"Not mad at you. Getting there. Not yet. Can we please just take a nap?"
"I already said we could.." Her arms open slightly and I curl closer to her.
"I'm sorry."
"It's okay, Ro. We have time."
    She nods and kisses my cheek. It seems as if she were more tired than I because of how rapidly she fell. Or is falling.
"Zee.." She tries to coo me.
"Ro.."
"Zheee."
    Why does she hypothesize me so easily...
"I love you, Roro."
"I love you too, babygirl." I barely hear her mumble as I drift to sleep.

    A kiss to my cheek brings me to wakestate. As I open my eyes, she smiles.
"I actually didn't mean to wake you."
"Hm?" I don't understand but the effort to really talk isn't in grasp yet.
"You're just so beautiful. I woke before you.. And was sort of staring."
"Aren't you creepy?" I smile to her.
    I roll on my back and pull her on top of me. She rests against my shoulder and sighs. Though barely hanging on, I stay for her.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing, ZZ. I'm happy."
"Why sigh?"
"I don't want to get up."
"Then don't." I lightly squeeze her in my arms.
"We have to go to Jamie's. I got to talk with her about work and stuff."
"Hm. What's another hour or two while Andrew is asleep doing any harm?"
"Just a little more time for my Queen."
    I smile, though she can't see it. Closing my eyes, I feel sleep wash over me again.
"I love you, Ro."
"I love you too, babygirl."

"Zhee."
    I turn my head towards her.
"Ready to leave?"
    I grab Andrew from his crib and start walking towards Rose. She opens the door for us and I protect Andrew from the winds as we walk to Jamie's. Jamie immediately opens the door before we even have the chance to announce our presence.
    Lynn is on the floor with Alex with a bunch of blocks and other toys. Alex is adorable as she says hey like 5 times in a row.
"Hi, Alex."
     Lynn shows Alex a block and Alex starts laughing and repeats the word no.
"No is her favorite word."
"Mommy." Alex says.
"Okay. Maybe that one."
"Momma." Alex says.
"Or that." Jamie smiles.
"Nonononono no." Alex says.
     I start to laugh at her and she laughs with me. Rose takes Andrew and I walk over and kiss Alex's cheek. Her giggles melt my heart.
"Can I play with you, Pumpkin?"
      She nods and I sit. I pick up a few blocks and hand them to her one by one. She organizes them into a pile of what color they belong in.
    She acts so much like Jamie it's crazy. She's got her OCD down already. She is a smart baby, was just behind on speaking.
    Lynn holds up a block. "Panda, what color this?"
     Alex looks confused at first but points to the blue pile.
"Blue." Lynn says in hopes Alex might repeat her. Alex doesn't.
    I can hear Rose and Jamie talk about their codes and how they both have an increase in pay. I just lay on my stomach with Lynn next to me, watching Alex hit her blocks on other blocks and laughing about it.
    She's so adorable. I wish Andrew was this big, if he was though, I'd be screwed right now because I want him to stay my babyboy forever. Lynn holds up another block and Alex instantly points to the color of the block pile.
"How's it been?" I ask Lynn.
"Well, at her party she talked. Now she won't stop. Literally."
"Momma." She repeats like six times and interrupts Lynn.
"I have a question."
"Hm?"
"How did you know you were ready? And healed? And how did Jamie know?"
"Zee, I can't be sure for you. Rose had a set back in healing. She might take longer than I did. I was self conscious when we finally. And now it's just like normal."
"What the fu" I stop mid word and rephrase the word. "..dge... is normal?"
"Fudge."
    I try not to laugh as Alex mocks my word.
"It's like before Alex. I did.."
"N'T. DIDN'T." Jamie yells.
"Okay, I didn't change. Anyway. But at the same time I did. I'm more sensitive."
"Gross."
    Lynn slaps my arm and laughs. "You asked."
"I did. And slightly regret. But thanks for telling me. I'm just scared with Ro. I don't want to hurt her."
"She will tell you if you do. You know that." I nod.
    Alex starts repeating "momma" over and over. She's looking over my shoulder to Jamie. I can't help but smile to her.
    Jamie flops down next to me.
"What's up, babygirl?"
    Alex lifts a blue block. Jamie laughs lightly. "Blue."
"Boo." Alex says.
     I try so hard not to laugh. But it's so cute. I'm dying. Oh god.
"Blue."
"Boo."
"How come she tries for you but not for me?" Lynn asks.
"Mommymommy" Alex holds a block for Lynn.
"Green."
"Geen."
"Green."
"Geen."
    Alex holds a block up for me. I smile to her. "Yellow."
"ewwow."
"Yellow."
"ewwow."
"Close enough."
"Fudge."
    I burst into laughter and she does too.
"So. That's funny. Where did that come from Zee?" Jamie asks as if she doesn't know.
"ZeeZeezeezee" Alex says and repeats my name.
    I die. I die. Oh my god. I died. I'm dead. She's so fucking adorable.

~    'Not going to lie, that was adorable.'

    Alex starts laughing and claps 2 blocks together in her hands. Rose sighs from behind me. I look over.
"You can come sit, babe."
     Rose sits in the other side of Lynn. Andrew is asleep in her arms, I smile to him. I love my little man.
    Penelope sniffs Andrew before flopping down by Rose and Alex. She's a good guard dog. Like Max is for Andrew.
"Baaabyy." Alex points.
"I didn't teach her that one." Jamie says.
"Neither did I." Lynn admits.
     Alex is rather smart and she's learning really fast. Really fast. I've never seen someone learn as fast. In the shortest period of time and she's already got a big ass vocabulary.
     I look over to Rose and she's all smiles. She's so beautiful. Stunningly beautiful.
    Jamie rolls on her back and looks at Alex upside down. Alex starts laughing again. Jamie pokes her nose.
"Boop" she says to Alex as she does so.
"Poop" Alex says in giggles.
"No. Boop." Jamie tries to corrects her.
"Nononono momma poop."
    Everyone burst into laughter. She looks around all confused before she starts smiling. Jamie lightly pokes Alex's nose and sends Alex into a giggle fit.
     Andrew starts crying and Rose instantly rocks him. He's got like a timer system where he wakes up exactly when it's time to eat. It's been the best month of my life, honestly.
    I'm in love with my wife. Our son is ridiculously adorable. There is nothing better than the joy I feel when I look at Rose holding him.
     Alex looks over at Andrew and scoots closer. She's literally a year and a month old and somehow knows how to kiss. She kisses his cheek and he stops crying.
    Lynn looks surprised. I'm shocked too.
"Thank you, Alex." Rose says.
"Baby." Alex says.
"Yeah. His name is Andrew. He's your cousin." Rose carries on the conversation with Alex.
"Andew."
     I can't. I just can't hold in my laughter. She's so fucking adorable. She's so adorable.
"Close enough."
     Alex yawns heavily. After a moment she crawls over to Lynn and lays down. "Mommy."
    I can't help it. I can't. My smile just grows.
"Well, Zee. I think we better go."
    I nod. I get up and then help Rose up. Andrew sleeps again but I know we don't have long until he wakes again.
    We head out and start our walk home. My smile doesn't fade a bit. I love my life. I get to see my sisters baby and give her kisses. I have my own son and love him dearly. I have my wife who I can't live without. I have all I've ever wanted.
    Rose hands me Andrew and I feed him. Rose fixes us dinner. I'm thankful she can cook cause if she didn't we'd survive off of fast food and I can't do that.
     Rose comes over and kisses my cheek. "Your thoughts are wild today, babygirl."
"Everything is perfect, Ro. I just love it all."
"You love me?"
"I've always loved you."
"Oh really? When did you first know?"
"Do you remember the first time Jamie was able to bring you guys over to the house? Your mom wouldn't let you for some odd reason."
"Of course."
"It was when you looked at me."
"Oh so the first glance."
"Yeah." I smile.
    She kisses my cheek again. "Mine was a little before then. That was the first time you noticed me, not the first time I had noticed you. I was the giddy girl who hoped you would turn around so I can see your beautiful eyes."
      My heart literally skips 10 beats and I grow butterflies in my stomach to her words. After so many years she still does this to me. It's strange how it works.
     She sighs. "Nothing can compare to your beauty."
"What do you want?"
"Just you, babygirl, always you."
     She goes back to cooking and I burp Andrew. After I'm done I go upstairs to change his diaper and put him to bed. Luckily he isn't a hassle to get to sleep.
    Heading back downstairs, Rose has our plates ready. She kisses my cheek as I sit next to her.
"Looks good, Ro."
"I tired."
    She shrugs. I lean over and kiss her cheek. "Always perfect, no need to try."
    We eat and I help clean up the kitchen. Like every night. But she seems different tonight.
    As soon as we're done cleaning she picks me up and starts walking. I giggle to her.
"What the hell are you doing?"
"Carrying my queen to her chambers."
     I laugh lightly and hold on to her as she climbs the stairs.
"You shouldn't be straining yourself, Roro."
"I'm not. I'm good, babygirl."
     I lightly placed on the bed and she climbs on top of me.
"Can we please?"
     My heart races.. But I know that she's healed.. And ready.. I'm just terrified...
