Chapter 73

-LYNN'S P.O.V-

It's not that I don't want to make love with my wife again... it's the fact of Alex. I miss our babygirl.
I know she's safe. I know. And I trust that she will stay safe.
I push her from my mind as we pull into our driveway. I don't know why but I feel nervous. Jamie and I haven't been together like this... in months.
Months too many. I've tried to.. for her.. but she wouldn't let me. Not even her taking throne. She just wouldn't..
She runs her thumb over my hand before she gets out. I get out after her and we head inside. Instantly surrounded by our animals.
Penelope is majorly confused. Extremely. But after a moment she flops down on the floor and stares at the door.
The cats lay with her. Jamie takes my hand and lightly tugs as she heads upstairs, I follow close behind. It's been a rather strange day...
Jamie told me.. the one thing I hate with a raging passion had returned. And I almost broke down crying with her because I know what her nightmares have... I push those thoughts away too.
Jamie lightly flops down on the bed and pulls me with her. I smile to her as she climbs on me and straddles my hips.
"You're so beautiful." She says and my heart overwhelms with flutters and warmth.
Each and every day. Never once has she failed to say that. And I'm nothing but smiles when she tells me.

"Your heart beat slow. Breath light and even. You're ready for sleep as I am too. We can always make more moments like this, Jamie."
"I know.." Her words grow softer and almost light enough I can't hear.
"Jamie.."
"I love you, Ly." She gives in.
"I love you too, Koala."
I give in immediately after she does. To her heart, I fall. To her breathing, I fall. To my wife, I fall asleep.
She makes me feel perfect and yet I'm not. She makes me perfect. I love her so much. So much, sometimes it hurts.
I love Jamie. All that she is. And she is my everything.
