I woke up to something taped to my face, assuming it was a note from the missing David. I took it off of myself turning the paper to me. Skimming through all of the apologies for leaving me alone, and not waking me up, David was just getting everything prepared for tomorrow's closing of the camp.

I sighed and looked up at the ceiling, covering my hands with Davids hoodie. He was adorable, never doing things without permission, and apologizing a thousand times for having to change me.

I stood up, stretching and yawning and walked to the door. His clothes were far to comfortable to take off, but the kids would probably ask why I was in his clothing...

Eh.

Screw them.

"You're up late." Max said accusingly standing outside my door.

"David said you had a nightmare." Neil spoke.

"Yeah, are you okay?" Nikki asked.

"Yeah, sorry if I scared you guys..." I sighed. "Rough night I guess..."

"So, were moving home tomorrow, right?" Max asked.

"Mhm." I nodded. "I think there's enough room for all of you to sleep in your own rooms, but worse case scenario some of you will have to bunk with each other."

"You're trusting the government after 9/11?" Max grinned.

"Ha! You believe in planes?!" I chuckled.

Max looked at me stunned, and opened his mouth to speak, but was interrupted by David pulling me into a strong embrace. "I'm so sorry!" David cried. "I promised I wouldn't leave you alone but I had to help the kids and get them ready because Gwen had to go to another job interview and-"

"David." I smiled, pulling out of his grasp. "It's okay, I understand." I met his eyes. "Thanks for everything you did last night, I probably would have died in the rain or something."

"I wouldn't have let that happen." He said, his cheery voice dropping to a serious tone. "I heard you leave, I was waiting to see if you would come to me..."

I raised my eyebrow. "David-"

"I just..." he paused, looking down. "I care about you, a lot, but you're too stubborn to come to me for help, even after a horrible nightmare."

"It's not like that-"

"I know. You don't want to hurt me. I get it." David shook his head. "I just want you to come to me, instead of me finding you in the freezing rain."

"I'm sorry." I spoke, looking down.

He pulled me into another embrace, and rested his chin on my head. "I'm not mad, or angry, I just want you to know I'm here, for as long as you need me to be."

"(Y/N) the brave, today is our last day! What shall we do?!" Nerris asked.

"Let's do a magic show!" Harrison yelled.

Nerris gasped. "Let's go on an adventure!"

I looked up at David, who smiled and nodded. "Sure, why not?"

"Yes!" Both of them cheered.

"Can I go on a hike?" Nikki asked. "Cause like, I need to say goodbye to my animal friends..."

"Absolutely! I'll go with you!" David smiled, breaking the embrace.

"As vill I." Dolph smiled.

"I'm going to go do some science." Neil sighed, walking away.

"Can I come?!" Space kid asked.

"Fiiiiiinnnneeee." Neil groaned. "Be seen, but not heard. Got that?"

"I wish to listen to some musicals. Would that be alright?" Preston asked.

"Go for it." I shrugged.

"I'll be with him." Erid nodded.

"I'm going to punch a tree." Nurf walked away.

"Okaaaay then..." I nodded. "Guess that leaves us, Max."

"Well shit." Max sighed, crossing his arms. "We going on some bullshit adventure?"

"Nah, how about we watch some TV?" I smiled.

"Okay..." he nodded hesitantly. "What show?"

"(Fav show!)"

Time skip and second person POV

Needless to say, only a few episodes in, and he was on the edge of his seat, yelling at the characters along with you. It had quickly become his favorite show along with your own, not that he minded.

Max gasped. "How dare you never show me this!"

"I never thought you'd like it!" You laughed. "But it's great that you love it!"

"God it's fucking amazing!" He cried in happiness.

"Darling I'm-"

"DAVID GET THE FUCK OUT." Max hissed.

"Daaaaamn." You smiled. "David, we're having a bit of a bonding moment so... if you don't mind?"

"Of course!" He smiled. "I'm glad you two-"

"ILL GIVE YOU A MINUTE BEFORE I KICK YOUR NUTS SO HARD THEY GO INTO YOUR THROAT!"

I shook my head as David walked away with a smile, shutting the door behind him.
