Well, what can I say? It's been great. It's been amazing. It's been life-changing. Don't get me wrong, I still miss and appreciate my friends and family back home, every single day. However, I know that they are all willing me on, and that they want me to do my best and to enjoy great experiences, and. I am, I really am.
This month, the goal for me has been about making friends. I feel I have achieved this to a larger extent than I ever thought I would be this early point in my University career. At the time of writing this, I am sat in my kitchen with Jack, Joel, Shannon and Felix, having a memorable time, singing along to a brilliant playlist of cheesy music.
Jack and Joel in particular have been like rocks to me since I got here, guiding me through my early experiences of life at the University of Portsmouth, and I will always be grateful to them for that, and I will miss them boundlessly when they graduate next year. I will definitely keep in touch with them, and hopefully carry on spending time with Shannon and Felix, into the second and third years of our degrees.
Now the academic work is really starting, I feel ready for it., and the difficult, but rewarding challenges it will inevitably throw at me. I love university life and I would not change it for the world.
