The day I went to course representative training was very interesting. I learned a lot about the role and how it helps the university, and the higher education structure of UK in general. I learned about a online tool that they are trying for the first time this year which means that course reps and communicate any conversation they have with a student easily even if they are talking to a student who is not on their course , which is very helpful.
It was also interesting and great to see that some of the course reps on the training were mature students. The national student survey also came up as an important way of determining popular opinion around the University.
Of course the course rep hoodie was a great bonus as well as the fact they gave us a cafe voucher for our time.
I am really looking forward to making a positive difference to the University of Portsmouth community.
