I have been here a few times, and for me it's a definite sign that Christmas is coming! It's magical and livens up Commercial Road to no end. There's many options to choose from, in terms of festive food, including turkey, beef and German sausages, as well as freshly made doughnuts. I've tried the turkey in a roll and a German sausage hotdog twice, once with a normal sausage and once with a spicy one. I preferred the spicy one.
As for gifts, there is personalised stockings, a massive pick and mix and other knickknacks. It would be a good place to buy things from, but I haven't got round to that yet.
There is also a bar in the middle of the street, complete with a singing reindeer head. It was an interesting novelty at first, but it quickly got annoying to be honest, although I see how children would love it. The market was where I also heard Christmas music for the first time this year.
Further down from the street, in the direction I have to come to get there, there is now an ice rink which plays popular music, sometimes Christmas music sometimes not, as people move round and round in circles.
Christmas coming to Portsmouth, is a reminder for me but I am closer to coming home for Christmas. It will be nice to see everyone and have a bit of a rest before I before I start again after Christmas. I definitely feel like I've earned a rest because I've either completed fully, completed partly, or planned, all the essays I need to hand in before Christmas. I feel on top of things and I am definitely ready for a rest. I have had a great time, up until now and I am excited to see what the rest of the year has in store for me.
