*LEXI'S POV*
"Lexi, come on, sit with me and my friends," Gracie insisted, she tugged at my arm vaguely. Social interaction wasn't a major problem for me but I was still a little nervous to meet her friends. At my old school it was hard to get people to like me after my secret came out so I just stopped trying.

"Alright, sure," I already felt like I'd been friends with Gracie for so much longer than reality. Running around the school halls like maniacs was the most fun I'd had in so long. I think I actually needed to do something like that because I felt refreshed and drained of all of the shitty things.

"No problem, you're cool," she giggled. Her arm was still connected to my wrist as she directed me towards her friends. It made me feel slightly giddy, the feeling took over my body and I hated not being in control.

"So are you," a smile formed on my lips, one that I couldn't control, because right then, I felt a lot fucking happier than I'd felt in years. I could tell that we were going to become great friends. Gracie led me behind the music block, I had no idea where we were going or even if there was anything behind it. But for some reason I put my trust in her which was unusual for me. We walked towards a bench by the back of the field, a guy and a girl already sat down.

"Hey guys," Gracie waved and smiled widely.

"Hey babe," The girl smiled back, ok but why did that make me jealous? I brushed it off quickly.

"Hey girl," The guy -who I automatically recognised as Charlie- laughed and gave Gracie a quick hug. It was probably stereotypical of me to say but you could tell he was gay.

"This is Lexi," Gracie motioned towards me. I smiled at both of them then nodded.

"Lexi this is Charlie" she laughed at the boy who was currently eating a slice of bbq chicken pizza. He had barbecue sauce smeared over his mouth.

"And Hanna," Gracie beamed.

"Hey, your hair is cute!" She flicked her dip died electric pink hair back with her right hand.

"Aha thanks," she smiled. It really suited her and went well with her blond hair.

"Fuck off," Hanna muttered slowly. Was she talking to me?

"Excuse me?" Gracie replied with a slight cocky tone.

"Oh I was reading your beanie," Hanna giggled, "I love it!"

"Aw thanks," I smirked thinking about how many people had complimented or commented on my beanie. I had lots more where that one came from.

"I don't think Miss Harping likes it tho," Gracie started to laugh which made me smile thinking back to homeroom.

"Haha yes! Oh my god Lexi, she is a moody bitch," Charlie joined in laughing.

"So Lexi, you liking it here?" Hanna started a new conversation, which focused the attention onto me which I didn't like much.

"It's alright I suppose, I mean, it's a little hotter here than in London," I sighed.

"Which is of course a good thing," Hanna replied. Well it's not a good thing for me but I smiled and nodded anyway.

"So lover boy, how's Joey?" Hanna giggled at the nickname she'd created.

"He's okay," The boy blushed and half smiled. I noticed him glance up at me cautiously, obviously scared I would judge him.

"Something going on with you two?" Gracie asked suspiciously.

"You would be the first people I tell," Charlie rejoiced in an attempted Italian accent, (don't ask me why, I have no idea) We all laughed at Charlie's failed attempt, sounding more Australian.
