*LEXI'S POV*
"Oh She has fucking nerve," I heard Dani mutter to no one in particular but I picked up what she'd said. I immediately whipped my head up to meet her eyes, which then averted behind me. So I stood up completely and turned my whole body around to try and spot who she had seen that had made her so mad. But the gym didn't look any different, I could just see Casey, Bobbie, Stella, Harley and Quinn talking amongst each other as they stretched.

"Who?" I questioned as I scanned my eyes around the gym once again, just encase I missed something the first time. But I didn't see anything different.

"Audrey," Just hearing her name made the hairs on the back of my neck stand and my blood boil, heating up every part of me as anger raged through my body. I didn't think I'd ever see her again, she quit the team and we shared no lessons together except for the lessons in the gym, but she stopped turning up for that too.

"Where?" I muttered, but I didn't need to because I saw her immediately. She walked into the gym alongside coach. She was in her full kit and had her hair tied back into a ponytail.

"What the fuck?" Trin said, I knew she was as angry as I was, they hadn't said a word to each other since the incident with Caleb which surprised me because they'd been friends for years. When they stopped being friends and Trin started hanging around with us at practice and lunch I noticed a change in her character, it was like Audrey was changing her and making her into a bitch.

"Why the hell is she here?" I questioned, not once taking my eyes off her, as if I was expecting her to disappear as soon as I looked away. I fucking wish.

Coach heard us muttering so she decided to make an announcement to the whole group. "Ladies, Audrey will be returning to the team as of today," No one, not even one person sounded enthusiastic about that. Stella and Casey were obviously new to the team when Audrey left so they didn't really have an opinion on her, but they'd caught on to the hatred we had for her, so they decided to stay out of it, which was probably a smart decision.

"Why the hell is she allowed to do that?" I asked, anger beginning to take over. It had been ages since she was at a practice, she hadn't even appeared in the crowds on game day, it was like she'd completely isolated herself from us then suddenly decided to reappear. I couldn't even think about Audrey without getting annoyed and furious, how was I meant to be in the same room with her practically every day and play on the same team with her.

"Lexi I wouldn't argue too much, or do I have to remind you that you were absent for a while recently?" Coach commented and I swear I saw Audrey smirk beside her which only made me even more mad. I knew she was right and I probably should've shut up but I really wanted to smack the smirk off of Audrey's face.

The first half of practice was great, we did a warm up consisting of thirty suicides and three sets of twenty push ups. We then went straight into a game, splitting into two teams:

Me, Trin, Ember, Casey and Harley.

Dani, Stella, Quinn, Audrey, Finley and Bobbie.

The other team had an extra player, but that didn't bother me because my team consisted of pretty strong players. We ended up winning, with Trinity scoring the final points just as the buzzer went off. It was a close game but it was pretty tough as we all practiced alongside each other and had gotten to know the weaknesses of each player as well as their strengths.

I had managed to ignore Audrey throughout the entire game, but when we finished and everyone was heading towards the locker room I couldn't resist, I headed over to Audrey, Trin right behind me.

"What do you want Jones?" Audrey questioned, like she wasn't aware of what she'd done.

"Caleb was in the hospital," I spat, not even giving a shit that everyone was looking my way, watching intensely as the scene unfolded in front of them.

"I heard," Audrey muttered and I could've sworn she let out a smirk. Trin scratched the back of her neck and presented a mixed facial expression that I couldn't quite figure out.

"It was your fucking brother that put him there." I tried to remain calm, saying each word slowly so that I wouldn't get as wound up.

"Oh-I-Lexi" She stammered. My guess was that she'd finally caught onto my anger.

"Don't fucking Lexi me," I replied as I stared right at her, giving her an intense glare, "Caleb didn't fucking do anything, yet Jake and Brock beat the shit out of him, what the fuck did you tell them?"

"I didn't tell them anything, it wasn't my fault," She argued but I didn't let it go, if they didn't do that to him he wouldn't have been in the hospital, so that Jimmy guy wouldn't have been able to mess with his life the way he did.

"The only reason they did it was because of you," She was seriously pissing me off, her pathetic excuses and blatant lies were making me debate losing my shit and getting kicked out of school permanently, but I didn't want to lose the team, and I couldn't go to another school, I'd miss Gracie too much.

"Okay I get it, I'm sorry," She nearly had me believing that she meant it.

"Look I'm not gonna fight you or anything, just get the fuck out of my life." I spat, my teeth clenched and my hands in a fist. I'd gotten better at controlling my anger, don't get me wrong, I really fucking wanted to hit Audrey, but I didn't allow myself to.

"Jones, can I have a word with you," Coach yelled across the gym.

Shit.

I ran over to her, careful not to keep her waiting because I thought she was mad at me about starting an argument. I should have probably waited until we entered the locker room so then coach wouldn't have witnessed it.

"I know you and Audrey don't get along, but this is basketball, and it might not be easy but you have to leave all of that behind as soon as you enter those doors," She pointed to the main entrance of the gym, "You're one of the star players, you cant be getting distracted arguing with her, we've got to have you one-hundred-percent focused," Coach said, then added, "can you do that for me, Lexi?"

"Yes Coach," Out of all of the adults in my life, my coach was one of two adults that I respected and hated to disappoint so I had to prove to her that I could follow her advice and focus completely on basketball.

*GRACIE'S POV*
Blake was still adamant on having a party for Caleb as a 'welcome home' sort of thing, which was pretty stupid considering how he was already home, but I guess there's a chance that a party would have cheered him up. "Who are we inviting?" I asked.

"Everyone," Charlie shrugged, which caused me to groan.

"Sure...but who exactly is everyone?" Lexi said, so I didn't have to.

"Just everyone, we'll invite people from Caleb's football team too," Blake suggested, which got three nods of approval from Charlie, Lexi and I.

"If Brock and Jake show up I'm not holding back a punch," Lexi commented, and I knew she meant it. I nodded, but didn't hide the slight frown on my face.

"I'm with you on that one," Blake insisted. I sighed at my brother's comment, but at least I knew I would be protected if I was ever in any kind of trouble.

Lexi made a group text message consisting of; Blake, Charlie, Dani, Trinity, Ember, Harley, Finley, Quinn, Bobbie,  Stella and Casey. She also added five guys from Caleb's football team, Brett, Zander, Tristan,  Ryker, and Darius. Brett and Zander had tried to visit Caleb in the hospital but they were showed the exit because it was only family allowed.

"I met this girl called Lauren the other day when I was in art, she's new and hasn't really settled in yet, can I invite her?"

"Yeah sure, tell her to bring something to drink," I nodded and began to scroll through my contacts until I found 'crazy art chick' I immediately smiled once I saw she'd set her name as that. I clicked on her info, then 'new message' and began to compose a message.

Hey Lauren, there's a party at my house on friday, want to come?

I couldn't remember if I'd also given her my number so I just decided to sign my name at the bottom of the message just encase.

Sounds cool!

OK :)
