*LEXI'S POV*
I'd officially been with Gracie for a week and it was honestly one of the greatest weeks of my life. We hadn't gone on an actual date yet but I wanted to show her how much she meant to me. I talked to Dani the day before and we'd decided to plan a camping trip for everyone.'Everyone' being Caleb, Charlie, Blake, Dani, Ember, Gracie and I.
As soon as I joined the basketball team, I became great friends with Ember and Dani. One day they just sat with us at lunch and everyone connected quickly. Even Dani and Caleb settled their shit once Gracie and I started dating.
It had been great to hang out with everyone and no one be fighting. So that's why Dani and I had planned the trip because we felt like we all just needed a relaxing weekend.
Jackson was still keeping up his nice act so I decided I'd ask him for a favour to see how far he'd stretch.
"Me and some mates are going camping this weekend, is it ok if I borrow your truck?" He had a silver Toyota truck that I loved but never got the chance to drive.
"Sure, how long you gonna be away for?" He asked.
"I'll be back Sunday," I stated.
"Ok," He put his hand in his pocket like he was trying to reach for something.
"Here's a hundred, get some food," He passed me the notes as well as the keys for his truck then shrugged like it was nothing.
"Cheers," I smiled but had to run out of the door quickly because I had to meet Dani.

"We all set for this weekend?" I asked her as soon as I saw her.
"Yeah, just gotta tell everyone now," She said.
"I was thinking it could be a surprise?" I suggested.
"How is that going to work?" Dani asked.
"Leave that bit to me," I smirked, thinking of the plan in my mind.
"Shall we ask Trin and that lot?" I asked and got a disapproving glare from Dani.
"Nah she's busy,"
"You don't even know that," I looked at her directly in the eye, "Why don't you want her to come?"
Dani ignored me and just ran faster to get away from me but I just caught up with her.
"She's my ex,"
"Oh shit," she stopped running, "really?" So that's why she was being weird around her.
"Yeah and I don't want to see her with Finley," Dani confirmed that they were dating which I didn't know. I guess I just didn't really pay attention.
"Ok, lets just keep it small," I suggested.
"How small?"
"Me, you, Gracie, Caleb, Blake, Charlie and Ember?"
"Sounds good,"
"So what's the plan?"
"Well if we want to keep this a surprise, I could skip last period and go get some of Blake and Gracie's shit,"
"Caleb?" She asked.
"I'm gonna ask him later because we kind of need him to drive,"
"What about Ember?"
"Just tell her she's staying at yours or something and to bring warm clothes,"
"Alright, what time are we doing this?"
