*LEXI'S POV*
Before I knew it, we pulled into Gracie's driveway. Grace had texted her mum before leaving my house to let them know what happened (without too much detail) and that we'd be coming over. The lights were still on inside the house even though it was like 2:30 am. I guess they were waiting up for us.

The door opened and someone walked outside to greet Gracie. My vision was all blurred so I couldn't see who it was that just walked out of the house. My eyes stung when I rubbed them with my hand, however they cleared a little.

"Hey Lexi, you alright?" Did they really want an honest answer because I think they can guess by the state of me. The person walked towards me and we embraced in a tight hug. It was Blake. I could tell from his aftershave, also his soft grip on my back. Gracie ushered me inside and the warmth hit me immediately.

"Hello girls, I've just popped the kettle on, I'll make you both a hot chocolate," I think I needed something stronger than a fucking hot chocolate. Her mum kissed Gracie's forehead and then held me in a warm hug.

"It's ok Lexi, everything will be ok," I knew it wouldn't be but I told myself to just shut up and stop being a baby, so I nodded and faked a smile, but she seemed to believe it because she went back to making the drinks.

"Thank you," my mouth was extremely dry but I managed to muster up a smile.
Gracie led the way up the stairs and to the left down the corridor.

"I'll give you a tour of the house in the morning but for now, we need to sleep," She was totally right.

"Oh hey Lex," Caleb.

"Hi," I mumbled, not looking up from the floor. I couldn't be bothered to deal with his attitude.

"People are dicks," He put his hand on my shoulder and smiled.

"Yeah, And you're the biggest one of them all," Blake came up the stairs.

"Correction, I have the biggest one," Caleb exclaimed, looking at me smugly.

"No, Lexi does," Gracie replied quickly which brought a smile to my face.

"What?!" Blake and Caleb snapped, both extremely puzzled. I laughed a little remembering our conversation earlier along with the disgusted look Gracie gave.

"Nothing," we both said in return.

"Nasty shit," Caleb smirked and then finds his way through a door, which must be his room.

"Like your face," Blake said and followed him inside the room.

"Night guys," Blake waved.

"Night Blake," I said. This family sure does cheer me up.

"Why can't I have a family like yours?" I asked, loving the way they care about each other.

"Well you are my family Lex,"

"Gracie?" I whispered.

"Yeah?" Wow, it's like Deja vu but backwards.

"What are you?" I asked.

"A human," Ok, that obviously wasn't clear enough.

"No I mean, what are you?... Are you gay?" I questioned.

"No," she said that a little too quickly like she was disgusted that I would ask that. "I don't know,"

"Are you bi?" I wasn't rushing her but I want to know. I want to know if she's someone worth fighting for.

"Maybe," She mumbled.

"I'm just curious," I replied, choosing to just change the subject instead.
