"I pulled every item of magical importance from Ragnor's belongings," Magnus' voice is the first i hear as i walk into the room "but i cant determine which will lead to the book of white." He says picking up a chalice from the many objects laid across the table.

"Wait this bookmark," Clary says, picking it up as i take a seat "ive seen it before. In the alternate dimension you showed us a book of spells and this was in it," she looks towards me and i nod my head in agreement "it must've been the Book of White."

"If thats the case we can use the bookmark to track down the owner of the book" Alec says

Jace nods and reaches out to Alec to start parabatai tracking "okay"

However, Mags grabs it before Jace can "warlock tracking is stronger" he smirks and Jace retracts his hand with a huff

Mags takes a deep breath and closes his eyes for a couple of seconds before opening them again "well, there's good news and bad news. The good news is i know the owner. The bad. Its Camille."

"Camille." I groan "Of freaking course."

Magnus smiles "looks like Raphael has her locked up in the basement of Hotel DuMort."

Clary sighs dramatically "well after I punched her there's no way she'll help me."

"She wont have a choice. Trust me." Jace says staring intensely into her eyes for longer than needed

"Okay, i feel like im interrupting so imma go until y'all are ready to leave." I say getting up from my chair and walking away

"Hey, you okay?" Alec asks jogging to catch up with me

"Yeah, all good. Just have a bit of a headache i was gonna wait out front until everyone else was ready." I say smiling slightly

"You shouldn't go on the mission then" he says

"Alec, im fine I promise i can protect myself."

He opens his mouth to say something else but i press my lips to his before he can get a word out, it was only a quick kiss but it still made my legs wobble as he pulled away

"Come on, we need to go everyone is waiting for us." He tells me, stepping aside so i can walk in front of him

"How's Lydia?" Clary asks as soon as we approach the rest of the group, after the wedding Lydia was attacked in her room when she was waiting for to return to Alicante with the Mortal Cup,, she was found by Alec and Magnus, the Mortal Cup gone.

Alec smiles slightly "better. Magnus is doing what he can to help her, but it will take time or her to heal. The Mortal Cup is definitly missing."

Jace nods "so is Hodge"

"Maybe he was attacked too." Izzy suggests as she looks at the security footage

"Maybe he's the one who attacked her." Clary shrugs

"Hodge? No way. We've known him our entire lives, he would never do that to us." Izzy looks like shes about to continue but she freezes as we arch the footage of Hodge hitting Lydia over the head and taking the Cup. As much as i hate the bitch i still feel sorry for her.
