The following few days we let everybody have a lie in and relax. We started to build a wall around the territory to help with the population control and stop the rogues coming in as easily. Wolves were flooding in like crazy, so of course tensions were high. A few fights broke out but Alcide and I managed to stop them.
I could feel how anxious everyone was getting. Kids weren't going to school, people weren't going to work, Alpha's were worried they'd lose their territory, it was a mess. There are only a few packs left to join out of the ones that agreed to come. I looked out of Alcide's bedroom window at all the people wondering around and working. I have a feeling we're going to have to put up tents and people camp outside. We sent all the kids under 13 to the day center to help distract them from what was going on. Half way through my day dreaming Alcide tapped on the door and came in.
"You okay?" He asked gently, coming over to wrap me in a hug.
"Yeah. Just didn't realize just how many wolves there are."
"I know. Ryan's preparing the school, we might have to put people in there as we're running out of room." I sighed deeply. Well, we needed an army and I guess we now have one. "There's still a lot of confusion going on so we're having a meeting with all the Alpha's when they get here so they can relay it to their packs."
I nodded my head.
"S'pose we should really go down and help. Another pack will be crossing the border in a few minutes." He kissed me on the forehead then led me out the room. As there were so many wolves here, I wasn't able to go and bring anymore packs back here, I had to stay to stop anything bad happening between everyone here. I walked towards the entrance to our pack and waited for the new wolves to join. In the distance I saw cars driving towards me before slowing down. When the cars stopped a really tall, well-built man got out and made his way over to me.
"Hello Alpha Edward, thank you for coming." I said, reaching out to shake his hand.
"It's no problem. We've had a few issues with rogues ourselves so anything we can do to help is our pleasure."
"Great. I'm Milly, I'm the main fighter. Want to follow me to the pack house? I will warn you; it's getting pretty crowded."
"After you." He got back in his car and I ran in front of them taking them to meet Alcide.

Within a week all the packs that wanted to help us were here. It was getting... intense. As there were so many wolves, everyone was on high alert, expecting the worse to happen. No body trusted anybody that wasn't in their pack. It had a plus side too. People were finding their mate's left right and center. It was getting hard to keep a track of who was in what pack and then more fights were happening as no one wanted to leave their pack but they still wanted to be with their mates.
I sat up in a tree and took a deep breath. If the rogues didn't know what we were up to, they sure did now. I know my sense of smell is stronger than everyone else's but I could tell that you could smell the stench of wolves' miles away. Thankfully we hadn't seen any rogues here since people started coming here and no one else was attacked on the way here. At midday we had a meeting with all the Alpha's, Beta's and Luna's to try and figure out what we were going to do. I stood up and started to climb higher up the tree. I was near the edge of the cliff so could see far beyond the horizon. When I got as high up the tree I could without breaking any branches I made myself comfortable.
Taking in a deep breath, I closed my eyes taking in the smell of the salty air. I loved being back by the sea. I took my focus back to the pack house to hear what was going on there. A group was going out to get some more food and supplies. They had to leave town as we had used most of what we already had. I could feel some people in the garden getting angry about something and knew they were about to lash out at someone. I guess my me time is over. I stood up and jump out the tree, landing as quiet as a cat, before jogging back to the pack house. When I got there, I saw three guys getting in a heated argument, one getting ready to swing for another one.
