*Book 1* Once In A Blue Moon *Completed*

Chapter 23

As I was in the Alphas and Luna's room packing up some of their stuff the Beta came in and lent against the door frame just watching me.

"Can I help you with something Beta?" I asked stuffing some clothes into a bag.

"You can call me Samuel." I looked up at him and nodded my head.

"So, who are you exactly? In your pack I mean."

"I'm the main pack fighter. I train everyone on how to fight."

"You aren't from Alpha Alcide's pack though."

"I am originally. But I'm from The Midnight Pack." His eyebrows shot up in surprise.

"Wow. The main fighter in a pack of warrior wolves. That's impressive. So, what are you doing at The Eclipse Pack?"

"They had a rogue attack and asked for our help to help them fight but then our pack got attacked whilst we were away so now, we are all living there for now."

"Ouch. That must be rough. No wonder you're making the whole pack leave."

"We can't risk leaving anyone behind. The rogues will come and kill everyone. Safety in numbers and all." He nodded his head in understanding.

Later that day everyone had finished packing and was piling into their cars. We decided to all leave together and it would only take a few hours to get back.

"I'm sorry Milly but there isn't any room in any of the cars for you." Samuel said frowning.

"That's okay, I wasn't going to get in a car anyway. I'll be running alongside you all making sure there isn't an ambush waiting for us. They know we have your Luna so they'd know your Alpha would be at our pack. Rogues unfortunately aren't as dumb as we'd hope." He nodded his head before getting behind the wheel of his car. I made eye contact with the girl in the passenger seat next to him. I felt something crawl up my spine, but in a good way. Who is she? I felt almost drawn to her but not in a sexual way. We made eye contact and her eyes widened. I frowned. What is going on?

I shook it off. I'll worry about that later. All the car engines started up and I started jogging towards Alcide's territory. I kept to the trees as much as I could, keeping all my senses open and using my mind to feel out in the distance. When we were two thirds of the way there, I felt people hiding in the trees in the distance. As we got closer, I could tell they were rogues.

'Everybody, stop driving. Now. I smell rogues!'

I felt the shock from the whole pack that I mind linked them all. I walked out if the woods and stood a couple of feet in front of Samuel's car.

"Milly?" Samuel asked getting out the car.

"Get back in the car. There's only ten of them, I can handle it."

"Ten?" He asked, I could tell he didn't think I could handle ten on my own but shocked there wasn't more.

"CAR" I said using my Alpha tone. He got back in the car but I could feel the annoyance rolling off of him. I walked forward a few paces. "Come on out. I know you're there." A few seconds passed before they came out of the trees, a few jumping out from the branches.

"Well, well, well, what do we have here boys? Looks like a lovely meal."

"I don't have time for this. Sorry" I said before using all my speed to be in front of them. I punched my hand through the guy that talked chest and ripped his heart out. I grabbed the guy next to him and snapped his neck. As his body was falling, I used it to jump over to get onto the next guy. I wrapped my legs round his neck and pushed him to the floor. As his body fell, I used all my strength to smash his head on the floor, cracking his skull open and killing him instantly. I got tackled to the ground but rolled us over and snapped his neck. I made my claws grow and stuck them in the chest of another guy and threw him into a tree. I felt claws rip the back of my shirt so I spun around and scratched his face making him back off. Another guy changed into his wolf and pounced on me. I grabbed him by the scruff of his neck and flipped him over bringing up my leg and breaking his spine on it. I grabbed the guy who's face I scratched I ripped his heart out.
