Chapter 24

• Nash's POV •

When I heard Marije had runway I got anger and emotional. I couldn't believe Hayes, he has to ruin everything that good happens in my life.

I had to go find her and I had to find her quickly, I cared about her way to much for me to explain. Hayes messed up and big time, this time. He ruined her life.

• Marije's POV •

I woke up to the noise of barking dogs, I clime out and see the police with there dogs, but why ? I've only been gone of 10 hours why is there police already. Okay whatever.

Then I heard someone coming up the leader so I hid again. It was Nash and Hayes. Nash's eyes were all puffy and so were Hayes they looked around the tree house then Nash said " Hayes I need to be alone for a while. "

" Okay Nash " Hayes replies

I seen him leave but I didn't want to come down, I hear Nash crying and it hurt me. I just wanted to be left alone. After 20 mins Nash left, I thought about everything. I started crying again and got my phone out. It was 2pm now and I just wanted everything to go back to normal !

I feel asleep again, when I woke up again it was now 8 almost 9pm and it was starting to get dark. So I decided I need to go home.

I started waking home with my hoodie up and just tried not to make eye contact with anyone. I got down to my street and seen that my family and the Grier's were all crying.

My mom and Mrs. Grier were crying on each other shoulders, my dad was crying his eyes out and Mr. Grier was at work. Skylynn had the guitar I gave her in her hands and she tried to play it but she couldn't tears were streaming down her face.

Nash and Hayes were crying on each others shoulders and my brothers were crying on each others shoulders too. Yeah, I felt bad, then I slowly walk up and say " you never know what you have until its gone, huh ?"

Everyone tried running towards me but then I said " NO, back away everyone. Don't blame anyone for me leaving it was my choice and I choose to leave because how everything was going. I just done with everyone and I'm done with life. "

" No Marije don't say that " tears streaming down my dads face.

Then I began to cry, then I looked at Skylynn and ran to her. She just cried in my shoulder, her sobs were so loud and I just couldn't take it anymore. I just had to see her and give her a hug. This is the only reason I am staying alive, its for this little girl.

I get up and walk in the house and lock my bedroom door, plug my phone in and hop in the shower and just relax. After I was all done I heard my phone ring and I walk over to it, it was Matt.

I didn't answer it, then I got a voice mail. It was from Matt.

" Hey Marije, I know you don't want to talk to us any of us, but please I really want to talk to you. "

I ignored it and just hoped into bed and fell asleep.

I woke up and got ready for school, it was Wednesday now. I wore leggings and a hoodie with black vans. I walked downstairs and just ignored my parents, I took an apple and left.

I was going to walk to the bus stop today, I started walking I was almost there and I got stopped by someone. It was Ray, " hey Marije wait up !" I hear Ray yell.

I smile at him and he catches up to me, we walk to the bus stop and just talk. The bus finally comes and everyone smiles at me, weird I don't even know them ?

Me and Ray sat next to each other some girls gave me dirty looks and I just laughed.

We finally made it to school and Ray showed me around school. Everyone was really nice and some were just rude. It was finally lunch time and I sat with Ray and his friends. Then I see Hayes walking towards the table. I guess he didn't see me because when he sat down he looked at me with fear.

I got up and left the table and Ray runs up to me and says " Marije what's wrong ? "

" Nothing, don't worry about it. " I say

He turns me towards him and says "something is wrong, now tell me !"

"Nothing really, I just need to go. " I say and walk away.

I go into the bathroom and just check how I look and I look fine, so I walk out and run into someone. I apologize and leave. I walk to my next class and sat all the way in the back, Ray walks in he smiles at me and I smile back.

He takes the desk next to me and we just talk until class began.

It was finally time to go home then I hear on the speaker " volleyball tryouts tomorrow, don't forget " I smiled then heard " you better tryout " I turn around and Ray was there.

I laughed then said " oh don't worry, I am going to. "

" Good " he said with a smile

I shut my locker and Ray and I began to walk.
