Chapter 31

• Marije's POV •

I woke up and got ready, I went early to talk to my soccer coach, since I missed yesterday.

We just talked and she said it was fine, but I just need to tell her next time. I said okay and just practiced a little then the bell rang for first hour. I put my volleyball and soccer things in my gym locker, then I seen Jenna and we walked to first hour.

* 3 hours later *

It was finally lunch time and Jenna and I sat with the boys, I knew Hayes and I weren't on good terms so when he seen me he just didn't talk to anyone. After he sits down for literally 5 minutes he gets up with tears in his eyes.

I get up instantly and run to him, he ran out of the school. I caught up to him and I grab his wrist and turn him around, and he says " Jen- " and he stops talking when he seen me.

• Hayes' POV •

Everything was fine all day until I got to lunch, I seen Marije and just remembered all of are memories. Then I realized I messed up the best thing I could ever have in life.

I went on twitter trying to forget everything then I see Matt's tweets,

" You're so beautiful "

" Cuddling with my bestfriend "

" I hate hospitals "

" I missed her "

" She's perfect man. "

" Guys if I asked someone out and she said yes will you guys hate or except it ? "

I then looked at all the comments on the last one he tweeted and most said expect and some didn't like it to much.

I was heart broken, he was going to ask her out. I got up and stormed out with tears filling in my eyes. I was out of the school then I felt someone grab my wrist I say " Jen- " then I turn around and see Marije. . .

I look down and try not to make eye contact with her, but she puts her hands under my jaw line and picks my head up and wipes the tears. Then she began to speak,

" Hayes whats wrong ? "

That's the first time I heard her voice in 2 weeks, because of everything that happened between us.

" It's nothing " I said softly

" Hayes I'm not playing, tell me ! " She demands and I had to tell her so I told her how I felt about her, I told her everything. .

Tears filled her eyes, she looked sad and mad at the same time. I felt so bad for her and what I have done.

" Marije I still have feelings for you " I said in a soft voice.

" Hayes, I still have feelings for you too. " She said but really quite

" But what about Matt ? " I said

" But what about Jenna ? " She said

" I don't know, I have feelings for Jenna, Maddie, and I have feelings for you. " I said

" I don't know, I have feelings for Matt, and the rest of the boys. They have all been there for me except you " she said then tears filled her eyes.

• Marije's POV •

We didn't speak after that, we walked back to school and all eyes were on us. I sat down and Jenna asked what was wrong, I just said he was worried about my dad and him being in the hospital and all.

I texted Shawn to come and get me, not Nash or Matt. He was shocked that I texted him but I needed someone and he was in North Carolina for a week because he had a show in North Carolina then to Michigan after.

Plus I wanted to see him, he was always texting me about my dad asking if he was okay. He was there for me when no one else was, and I hate the fact that I ignored him. I'm not gonna lie, I missed him a lot.

* 20 minutes later *

We decided we were going to goto the hospital because Shawn wanted to see my dad, my mom, and brothers. We talked the whole way there, his dad drove us. I loved his dad he was so sweet.

We made it to the hospital and walked into my dads room, Shawn walks slowly behind my mom.

When she turned around she got up instantly, hugged him and started crying. I started laughing because she was crying, my dad was sleeping so he didn't know Shawn was there.

When I was in the hospital with my dad the first night he gets a text from Shawn and he was worrying about my dad and the family. Then I looked and seen that they always texted, most of the time he asked about me, then one caught my eye.

" I'm in love with her, I look at her picture all the time. She is my dream girl, but I'll never have a chance with her. She hates me </3 "

From Shawn

I don't understand why he thought that, I never hated him.

I just thought of what my life would be like if he was in it. He was an amazing person, he was my bestfriend, he was my everything, I loved that boy. . .

My mom and him talked forever and then my dad woke up, I hid Shawn and then I said, " dad I have a surprise " then Shawn walks out and my dad starts crying, but why ?

I never seen my dad cry and that was the 3rd time he has ever I mean ever cried in front of me.

What's going on between them ? Why did he cry ? What's going on that I don't know about ?

Then I remember a message I seen from Shawn,

" Hey, you'll be okay everything will be okay. Yeah she try's her hardest to make you happy and except her. She is your little girl, she will try everything to make you happy, you just have to allow her to get a little freedom. You know she will always be your little girl, but little girls grow up. Trust me she will be fine in the long run, she is an amazing girl and an amazing person, she will always be daddy's little princess. Whenever I get to see you again just know that your little girl brought me here. "

I looked at my dad and broke down in tears, he looked at me then I ran out.

I didn't look back I had to leave, then I feel someone's hangs grab my waist, I turn around and see Shawn. I didn't make any eye contact, I didn't want him to see me crying so I tried my hardest not to let him see.

Then he picks my head up and looks me in the eyes, " beautiful whats wrong ? " he says wiping my tears away.

I decided to tell him everything then he just looks at me with water filling his eyes,

" Marije I'm so sorry, I do have feeling for you and I'm not going to lie. I wish you were mine and no one else. I miss you and I miss your kisses. " he says and his head drops.

I pick him head up and took his hand and walked back to the hospital.

We walk in and all eyes were on me, then everyone left so i could talk to my dad, I told him everything and how I felt.

He then talked to me, he seemed sad but I just told him I loved him so much.

Then he said " I'm getting out in 3 days " all happy.

" What !? really ! " I say

" Yes, I'm doing a lot better. " He said

" Yes finally " I said and gave him a big hug.

Then I walked out and told everyone to come back in, I told my mom and brothers to go home and relax an sleep.

Shawn and I just talked to my dad until he had to go to sleep.

Matt didn't come at all, he didn't talk to me, didn't text or anything.

I hear a knock at the door and it was Hayes. . .
