Chapter 34

• Marije's POV •

I decided to go to the tree house because I just needed to think about everything.

I got there and hid, I didn't want to see anyone or talk to anyone. I started to get sleepy, then started drifting off to sleep.

* next morning *

I got up and left my little spot and started heading home.

I was just so stressed about everything, I got home and don't go in, I walked around the back and sat down and just thought again.

I then see Nash running out of his house with tears in his eyes, he ran to me and I got up instantly and said, "Nash what's wrong ? "

" Where have you been, I have been crying all day yesterday and all day today. What happened ? " He said with tears streaming down his face.

" I just needed space I guess. " I said

" Marije " he said

" What Nash ? " I said kinda in a mean way.

" Was it cause of Matt ? " He said then looked down at his shoes.

" Y-yeah " I said

" Why ? Why do you do this to yourself ? Why do you always runaway if something's not right ? Why do you always ignore me now ? What have I done ? " He said with more tears streaming down his face.

" Because, people won't show how much they love or ever cared about me until I'm gone. Oh and Nash I don't ignore you, you just changed. I can't keep up anymore. " I said and turned to the doors so Nash wouldn't see me crying.

I got in the house with not another word to be said between Nash and I.

• Nash's POV •

After what Marije said to me,

" Because, people won't show how much they love or ever cared about me until I'm gone. Oh and Nash I don't ignore you, you just changed. I can't keep up anymore. "

I just stood there, and thought ' did I really change ? '

She turned away and walking inside, tears filled my eyes and I just cried the whole walk home and cried even more when I got home.

I just sat in my bed and locked the doors and cried, I started getting sleepy. My eyes started feeling heavy then I was asleep.

• Marije's POV •

I stayed up all night and just cried, and thought of everything. I decided to not go to school and see anyone.

I stayed up locked up in my room, I haven't ate all day so I walked down got food an walked back up.

* 3 hours later *

I decided to finally get ready and leave the house, I was wearing leggings again, one of my hoodies, and vans. I put on a little makeup and did my hair in a sock bun, grabbed my purse, money, phone and left.

I knew Nash wasn't okay, so I walked over and knocked on the door...

Mrs. Grier answered and I asked for Nash and she said I could go up to his room. I walked up the stairs, I started to get closer to his room and I was now in tears, these halls brought a lot of memories, this whole house did.

Then I was finally at his door, I knocked lightly and he yelled " LEAVE ME ALONE "

Then I remembered, he had a key for his room and he showed me were it was at. I got it and opened his door, he had big puffy eyes, and they were blood shot. He didn't look okay.
