Chapter 14

• Marije's POV •

I see Skylynn, Skylynn Grier.

My jaw dropped and I was just shocked. Then I heard someone talking and forgot about Mrs. Grier standing there. " oh umm sorry Mrs. Grier " she started laughing and said "you know who my boys are ?" I shook my head and a tear fell from my eye, I wiped away quickly making sure she didn't see, but Skylynn did...

I started talking again " yeah I-I-I do. Um we'll Mrs. Grier my parents are not home right now, my dad is but my mom and brother are flying here, so I should get going but i will talk to you later if you have any time ? And if you ever need anyone to watch Skylynn I will be glad to help, even though you have Nash and Hayes, but if they are both busy just give me a call or something." After I finished she began to speak.

" thank you Marije, and I actually need someone to watch her Friday if you can that would be great !" I look at Skylynn and she was jumping up and down all happy. Even though we just meant 5 mins ago, lol.

I gave Mrs. Grier my number before she left and Skylynn turned to me before leaving and said " mommy can Marije come over and play with me ?" She had he bottom lip out and made the puppy dog face. Her mom began to speak " only if Marije wants to. " Skylynn looked at me and I shook my head up and down and said " yes I would love to Skylynn." I big smile came on her face. I began to speak again, " Skylynn is in 10 mins okay for me to come?" She look at her mom and her mom said "yes" Skylynn began to jump up and down again with a huge smile on her face.

I said goodbye and shut the door and ran to my room, I began to change.

I picked out washed high waisted shorts, a lavender purple v-neck, and threw on black vans.

I grabbed my purse, phone and house key because my dad was going early to pick my mom an brothers up. Before I let I asked for a 20 just incase we went to go get some ice cream.

Because when we were driving to the house I seen a small ice cream shop. It was only 7 so it wasn't dark out at all.

I walked over to Skylynn's house, she opened the door and gave me a huge hug.

She pulled me into the house an up to her room. She took me to the swing that was in the corner of the room and told me to sit. I sit and she starts pushing me.

I got off a second after she started pushing me because I am fat.

I looked at her and said " Skylynn do you want to go get some ice cream, its on me !" Her face reaction was priceless.

She started jumping up and down saying " ICE CREAM ICE CREAM ICE CREAM " then Mrs, Grier walked in and asked why she was saying that, I then asked Mrs. Grier " is it okay if I take Skylynn out for some ice cream ?" Mrs. Grier began to smile and said "yes, that's okay but let me get some money first." Before she could walk out I said " No! It's on me don't worry about it Mrs. Grier" she gave me a sad look and said "no come o-" I stopped her from saying another word, then I began to speak.

"No really its okay Mrs. Grier, I asked my dad for a 20 everything is good. I'm paying." I smiled afterwards and Skylynn and I began to walk.

She was telling me about Nash, Will, Hayes and the whole family.

I smiled, we talked a little bit more then we were finally there.

Skylynn's face lit up, then she ordered, afterwards I ordered. We seen 2 swings and we walked over and began to swing.

We still had a lot of ice cream left but Skylynn wanted to finish hers, we started walking.

She put her little hand in my left hand and then she said " Marije do you care if I hold your hand, the dark scared me." I looked at her and smiled and we began to walk with are ice creams still in are hand. We began to eat them again.

It was 7;47 so almost 8, but it wasn't even dark out still.

We finally made it to Skylynn's house, we walked in and Mrs. Grier was shocked. I looked at her with a werid face then she started to talk " Marije how ? " I looked at her and said " how, what ?" I said "how is she so clean!?" I started laughing and told her that I gave her the ice cream and she got none on her.

Skylynn smiled and said "mommy can Marije put me to bed tonight ?"

" only if she wants to." Mrs. Grier looked at me and smiled.

" yes I would love to put you to bed." I said with a smile

We walked up stairs, and I sat next to her bed. She changed in her moms room and jumped into her bed. She till had energy, she look at me and asked "Marije can you sing for me, I know you can sing."

I started laughing then said "sure" I asked what I should sing her and she said "give me love, its my favorite song. PLEASE" I started laughing and said yes.

I got up and turned to the door, before closing it I said " bye Skylynn, I love you." And left.
