Chapter 28

• Marije's POV •

It was now Monday, all me and Ray did was watch movies with Skylynn on Sunday.

I knew there would be drama at school, I seen Hayes and Jenna talking and it looked like Hayes was happy. I was walking then I heard someone behind me, I looked it was Jenna.

" Hey you're Marije right ? " She said

" Hey and yeah, you must be Jenna I'm guessing ? ' I say

" Yeah, you seem really cool, do you want to sit next to me at lunch today if you don't have anywhere to sit ? " She said

" Thank you, but I sit with my friends " I said.

" Okay, and we should talk more. " She said

" Yeah we should you seem really nice." I said

" Yeah, here is my number. Call me and we will make plans " she said and handed me her number.

" Okay, talk to you later Jenna " I said

" Alright bye " she said and I went to class.

It was finally lunch time, I took my spot and when I sat down Ray gave me a kiss on the check. No one seen us, I could careless if they did. I seen Jenna and she smiled at me.

I waved her over to me and told her to sit next to me, she smiled and waked over. We just talked and she already knew most of the boys so we just talk and had fun at lunch. Hayes looked over at me and had a sad look on his face, but why ?

I then got a text from my dad, but it wasn't him it was my older brother.

" Hey Marije, I sorry to say but dads been in a very bad car accident, and he didnt make it, I'm sorry Marije "

I got up and ran out of the lunch room, then the front doors. I looked around wondering where I was, I was shaking and crying, I knew I had to go back to school.

I walked in the school and all eyes were on me, Ray ran to me worried. I ran into his arms and just cried, and cried. He was really gone my dad was really gone. I had to finish school because I just couldn't go to the hospital to see my dad I just couldn't.

I got a call from Nash,

" Marije, Marije I am so sorry. " He said crying in between each word.

" N-Na-Nash its okay, we will be fine. Tears won't bring him back. " I said

Then I had to hang up because class was starting, we began class and the teacher looked at me and said class "one minute, Marije please come out in the hall with me. "

I got up and walked out, she asked what was wrong i said nothing and I just asked if I could not do anything in class, just listen to my music because I wasn't okay today. She said yes and I walked back in.

I made no I contact with anyone, I sat down and plugged my headphones in and listened to my music, I looked up and seen Nash in the door way and his eyes were blood shot, I got up and ran to him he gave me a huge and I just cried and cried, Hayes got up and looked at Nash weirdly and Nash said 'just don't Hayes'. I walked out and just put by back to the wall and slide down and just cried. Nash came and sat next to me.

He began to cry and we just stood there hugging and crying on each others shoulders, I pulled away and he wiped my tears, and I walked into class and Nash waited at the door, I got all my things and walked to the door then I got a text, it was from my dads number again it was my older brother.

" MARIJE HE IS OKAY, DAD DIDN'T DIE HE IS ALIVE AGAIN, THEY SHOCKED HIM BACK TO LIFE. THEY SAID HE WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO LIVE. "

I stood dead in my tracks and Nash looked at me weirdly and said " Marije what is wrong " I started crying and looked up at him and said, " he is alive, they shocked him back he is not dead " and I ran and hugged Nash.

He began to cry and the class was dead silent. I wipe my tears and said " guys I know you're are probably wondering why I am crying and its because my dad got into a very bad car accident and they said he was dead, then this thing that shows his heart rate and it started going off and he came back to life. I am sorry for ruining class today Mrs. Adams. " I grabbed my things off the desk and I went to Ray and gave him a kiss on the check and left.

Hayes was just there crying his eyes out and Nash didn't want him to come so we left for the hospital, and when we got there my mom and brothers were crying and I was wondering why ?

" Hey guys " I said

" Omg Marije, you found out. He is okay and he wants to see you " my mom said

" Okay, but why are you guys still crying ? " I said

" Because he died then he came back to life, I don't know how to thank God enough. " My mom said

I gave her a hug and left to go and see my dad, he was in a coma so he couldn't hear me but I talked anyways.

" Hey daddy, I know you can hear me and I know that you'll be okay. I know you seen heaven today, I bet it was beautiful. Did you get to see your dad when you were there? They always say when someone is in a coma you go and see heaven, and God shows you what life will be like if you're not here. I know he put you back on earth for a reason and I don't know how to thank him enough. I need to talk to you, and we are here right now. I know you can hear me so I just going to tell you wants on my mind daddy. Dad I always grew up knowing you would always be there for me, when I started to get older you were never there anymore. When I started 6th grade everything changed, daddy I grew up and I know you don't want to hear that, but I did. I started taking things into my own hands, in 5th grade I started getting bullied, I don't know if you know that and it still goes on today. I do have ruff days, and I have my ups and downs. Daddy all I am trying to say is that, I hate saying this but I'm growing up everyday. I will always be your little princess, I know you hate that I'm growing up so fast, but its true. Dad you died today, God gave you another chance. Another day to live, don't take it for granted because you can live today and die tomorrow, your life will always be hard I know that. You are my daddy and you are a worrier, you can fight this. Please daddy stay strong. I'm sorry I'm not the best daughter that you wanted me to be, I make mistakes and you make mistakes. I got up and then i heard " I love you to my little girl " I turned around and ran to my dad and started crying even harder, " dad you heard me didn't you." I said

" Yes Marije, I am sorry. " he said

" Daddy don't say sorry " I said

" I love you, don't worry about anything daddy, you're an amazing dad. " I said

" Marije why did you never tell me this, why did you not tell me how you felt ? " he sounded so weak but he sounded so strong, like he was getting better.

" Because, how everything would change between us. "I said

" Hey dad, we will talk at home I think someone wants to see you. " I said and left

I walk in the waiting room, I had tears streaming down my face. Everyone was there, all the boys were there and Ray was there, my mom and brothers everyone was there. They all stood up.

Nash came over and asked to see my dad, I said okay and he left to his room. I just took a seat and stayed quite and talked to no one. Nash walked in with tears streaming down his face, I got up and hugged him. I then see Ray walk towards his room.

It was just silents and finally Ray walks back tears streaming down his face, what is my dad saying or doing. I ran up and hugged him he just cried in my shoulder and I cried in his.

My mom and brothers went in and seen him, I took Rays hand and we sat with each other, I put my head on his shoulder and just thought of everything.

* 4 hours later *

My dad was doing better and he started eating a little, I decided I wanted to spend the night at the hospital until he got out. I told my brothers and mom to go home.

I stayed at the hospital alone with my dad, it was silent. He fell asleep an I stayed up. I couldn't go to sleep then I hear a light knock at the door, my head shoots up from my phone and I see Matt.
