You and hope were playing in the front yard of your house that was located out of the city and on a farm type estate.
Ever since the trouble in New Orleans started getting worse the mikealsons decided it was best if hope should to leave to a safe place , so Klaus being your best friend asked if you could take care of hope for a little while until everything died down.
The upside of asking you to take care of Hope is that you are a witch and it would be just that tiny bit easier to protect yourselves if anything was to happen but you knew Klaus would never let anyone harm his daughter.
You had met hope before but decided to get to know her a little bit more seeing as you'll be taking care of her. You didn't notice but as you were laughing with hope Klaus was watching the two of you closely making sure everything was ok and in that slow five seconds Klaus swore to himself that neither of you will ever get hurt. His baby girl hope and his secret love Y/N.
