( following the 'Lukas and Petra had a falling out and are too sad and guilty to try and make up' headcanon)

Lukas sitting out on his front porch, writing and watching the sunset

Trying not to think about Petra...But he is anyway.

Quietly singing 'Vanilla Twilight' to himself, letting his mind wander...

Wondering where she is...if she's alright...if she's thinking of him...though he's convinced that she's not.

Silently reliving old memories, knowing that there won't be any new ones made by the two of them...
A sharp pain in his heart every time he pens her name...
Wondering if he should try to find her, try to make amends...
Deciding that it's best if he stays away

Tears running down his face before he realizes he's crying
He wipes them away, but there's more

Still singing quietly
Voice breaking when he gets to certain parts of the song...certain lyrics that resonate too deep...

He can't forget her, can't forget that she's not there
He can't let go...

Pretending everything's alright
Throwing his energy into his writing, so he could ignore the aching pain of her not being part of his life anymore

Sometimes I wish I could say what I mean...
Sometimes it just isn't right...
But mostly it feels as though the memory of what never was would always be sweeter than anything that could've been...

Missing her, every step of the way.
