on the topic of Jetra being 'canon' (a vent)

(first thing I need to say: THIS IS NOT A RANT, just a VENT. I'm a bit ticked, but not furious, so please don't piss me off)

(second, I originally wrote this to post on DeviantArt, so I'm being a lot more serious than I usually am here)

Nope. I know what happened in the cabin, and that in no way confirms that Jesse and Petra are interested in each other romantically.

Let's start this off with a story.

I have a best friend who means more to me than anyone else in the world. We've known each other since fourth grade (we're sophomores now), and I trust her completely. I have told her several times over how much she means to me. Hell, I'm pretty sure I've literally told her 'I love you.'

Does this mean we are a couple?

No.

No it does not.

It means we are friends. Super close friends, if you will. But the rest of our friends haven't immediately assumed we're a couple just because we care about each other. That sounds kinda ridiculous and stereotypical when you put it into perspective, right?

Now let's get back to Story Mode.

When it comes to Jesse x Petra, I'm...kind of neutral, I guess? For some unknown reason straight Jetra kind of annoys the absolute crud outta me, but I like Jesstra, aka with F! Jesse

(correction, I like coming up with sad headcanons surrounding Jesse and Petra)

At the very least, I see it and acknowledge that it's cute. And I have absolutely no freaking problem with other people shipping it, never have never will. Ship whatever the hell you want. You wanna ship Radar and Jesse? Go ahead. You want to ship Hadrian and Mevia? Sure. You want to ship Lukas with your extremely cliché Mary-Sue? Uhh...I'll be over there.

Nothing in Story Mode is canon

Let's just face facts, okay? Jesse x ANYONE, is never, ever, going to become canon.

We're all cool people here, right? We're fine with gay ships?

Not everyone is. Jesse being gay/lesbian WOULD make some people mad, and Telltale Is Not going to do that.

Did you know that some people are upset that the characters said 'crap' and 'hell' in the first season? It's true! I've read a lot of reviews, and people get mad over THE DUMBEST things.

With that in mind

Do you really think TTG is going to make anything canon.

No. No way.

Everyone knows that I'm a Luktra shipper, and have been from the very beginning. (If not, hi my name is Rush and I love Luktra)

But not once have I gone parading around saying 'LUKTRA IS CANON SUCKERRRSS'

(not even after episode three. Or six. I was tempted too tho)

And okay, no one I've come across has been THAT rude. Just...a little...smug. I get that you're overexcited because your ship got a moment, but please can we just be considerate. This fandom can be truly amazing when we're all on the same page, but it makes me want to either die or kill something when there's so many warring opinions like this.

It's also bothering me a little (okay, a LOT) that the Jetra community is taking credit for it being 'canon'?? Ummm??? We're just the fanbase?? If any of you are actually influencing TTG then okay wtf how and why??

I just...when I read something about that, I literally just sat there and stared for a few moments, then shook my head because what da heck are you talking about?!

Like I understand being happy and excited, but...triumphant and successful? You didn't do anything to make that moment happen?!?!

(I'm sorry I'm just so frikkin confused right now)

I'm not trying to say that that WASN'T a Jetra moment, either. Because it was. It seriously was...IF you like Jetra. If you wanted to say that it was an emotional scene that could possibly determine some future things, that makes sense too! We don't have to look at this in such a narrow-minded way!

I'm not telling anyone to stop shipping it. That'd be really hypocritical and awful, so no freaking way thank you.

Just...can we not say that it's canon. Because it's not. It never will be. Personally, I like that about MCSM. That way, we can all ship what we want, without getting our dreams crushed or anyone telling us we're wrong.

I know it's probably WAY too much to ask for this fandom to be fully mature and reasonable, but can we at least try? Please? Pretty please with potatoes on top?

I understand if this upsets anyone, but like...you're really not gonna get anywhere by yellin at me so don't bother :)
