Chapter 27
Lily's POV
I haven't talked to Noah in the last week and a half. During class I look over at him, but he'd be talking to someone else. I don't know what the hell was going on anymore.
Anyways, today was a very special day. Today is my mother's birthday. If she were still here she would be about like 36. I wish she were still here. Today was very special because 36 is her favorite number because of my dad.
Everyone at school was completely quiet, but were happy that it was my mother's birthday. All of the seniors that are here understand and knew my mother. And I am one of them.
All day teachers did like kind of like a day off. Like we wouldn't just like learn we would have a day off from learning. That was really unintentionally to happen. You see every month we have something like this where it's a day off for the whole school. Everyone didn't exactly talked at all that much until lunch time.
Why I'm saying this is because usually when we do have "day off's" it's not quiet. It's usually filled with laughs and music. Not silence. Why that's weird is because last year when we had a day off it was my mom's birthday. It wasn't this quiet.
Something's wrong.
Completely wrong.
I was in gym class with the whole group. We were playing soccer or football to my European people out there who consider it to be called football. I'm pretty sure that's how you spell it in Europe.
Anyways, as I was saying, we were playing soccer. It was my team against Kiera's (my best friend) team. Mrs. Andrews, one of our gym teachers and coaches, had picked our teams for us. I looked at the team I had standing before me. I had half of the gang. So it was Christine, Talia, Jordan, and Riley. The rest of the gang was on the other team. When I mean by the gang I mean by the girls. On the other hand, we pretty much had good people. Nothing was wrong. I didn't really pay much attention to who was on our team since it didn't really matter much.
Yeah, at least until I realize a certain three certain people were on my team. I had forgotten GiGi was in my gym class as for Michael. Not only were they on MY team, but Noah. Every chance I had, I tried to talk to him. However every time I tried it never really worked. He would just ignore me or make an excuse that someone called him over when really no one did. I tried my hardest not to cry when it just hurt me in the inside.
Today's game was the most frustrating game we have ever done during gym. Every time anyone told Noah or I told him to pass to me, he wouldn't. Am I suddenly not existent.
Lately things have been really bumpy and frustrated between Noah and I. What I mean, weeks ago since I forgot to say it, we would fight over the stupidest things and we don't even speak to each other for about three hours. Then it turns to the point where the silence lasts so long Noah has to go eventually.
After the game I hung with Kiera, Katy, Christine, and Talia. I've been telling them everything. Every time I did, all I felt was tears running down my face. I know I sound like a cry baby, but the truth is I'm hurting a lot more than people think.
One thing to remember:
Just because you see someone crying all the time, it doesn't instantly make them a crybaby. You don't how much pain they're going through.
So yeah.
"What do you mean he's totally ignoring you?" Kiera asked.
"We haven't spoke in a while, but this isn't rare. This kinda things happen every week maybe even everyday," I explained.
Lunch was quiet. A bit too quiet.
"Maybe he has his reasons," Christine suggests.
"I hope they're good," I confessed.
