Lily's POV
I woke up to the sound of birds chirping. My back was sore from lying on the floor. The "tumblr-ish" lights were still on. The sun was peeking through the small windows covered in transparent curtains.

As I gathered all my energy to pull myself up, I felt pain pounding me in the back. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes like a little child as Maggie was struggling up the staircase.

"C'mon girl," I called for Maggie. "Let's get you something to eat."

I climbed down the stairs with Maggie right behind me. Sunlight was peeking through every window in the house. The house instantly lit up in not even five minutes. "C'mon Mags," I said. She kept looking behind like someone was chasing her as she was sprinting towards me.

From the kitchen, there was a sliding door leading to a balcony which leads to the backyard. I walked with Maggie outside to get her her other bowl for water. Her little tail wagged wildly while I got her her water and food. She began to jump up and down once I opened the cabinet for her food. "Hold on, girl. I can barely walk right now," I laughed it off.

I was looking for Maggie's food to the point where I'm basically inside the cabinets now - not to mention I had to be on my tippy toes. When I finally found the food for Mags, I opened it to get her food. Suddenly, I felt something on my waist, and I flinched. The food instantly spilled out of the bag. I swung around fast, and I knew I hit someone because there was a loud smack.

Dylan fell to the floor while holding his cheek tightly. "Oh shit!" I screeched. "I didn't mean it! You scared the living hell out if me!"

"It's alright," Dylan reassured. "You couldn't reach the cabinet so I was trying to help you..." He rubbed his cheek with care. He let go of his cheek and it was all bright red. "What the hell did you hit me with?" He says as he holds his cheek again.

"Oh Maggie's bowl...sorry it was metal..." I sweated. "Wait...where's everyone?"

"Everyone's asleep. Couldn't fall asleep..." Dylan sighed like it was a bad thing. And we both knew it was a bad thing.

Lately Dylan hasn't been able to fall asleep. It'll be three in the morning, and he's calling me about not being able to fall asleep. The medicine that the doctors have prescribed him haven't been working. Well it does, I'm just pretty sure he hasn't been taking them.

"Dylan," I began at a whispered while I got Maggie her food, "have you taking the pills lately?"

"I-I-I-....um....erm....uhh....well," Dylan's face goes white as blank paper. He fiddles with his fingers, and looking down with disappointment and guilt.

"Look...I know you keep saying you'll get better on your own, and not that I'm not okay about it. I am...But you're not exactly helping yourself, Dylan. I'm worried," I let out.

Dylan stepped up to me, grabbed my shoulders, and looked me straight into the eyes. He took a deep sigh, and slowly explained, "I'm. Fine."

"I-" and he cut me off.

"I promise," he continues.

I felt tears forming up quickly, so I turned away from him continuing with Maggie's food. Maggie snuck up behind me, and jumped onto my back. "I know, girl, I'm hungry as well," I let out a deep sigh.

The sound of elephants stomping comes rushing to the kitchen. I kept getting responses like "Is there food?", "Is there breakfast?", "Can I have -?", Etc.

"I haven't even really woke up yet!" I threw my hands in the air.

All my friends began to groan at my sudden response. Dylan was no where to be seen. I looked to see if his stuff was still by the door.
