Chapter 30
Lily's POVTonight was Prom. Everyone was rushing and panicking getting last minute tickets before it was too late. Most kids here were panicking while others were just ... eh.
I was walking with Cole to lunch with Christine and Oliver to our usual table. Cole had taken my seat out for me and pushed me in.
"Gentlemen," Oliver murmured, but loud enough for all of us to hear.
"Hey at least I am one," Cole protested. Oliver crossed his arms while Chrissy giggling and started blushing.
Christine was literally head over heels for Oliver. They've been dating for what about three to five months. Haven't had their first kiss, but they hung out a lot with each other.
Yes. They're dating.
"We'll be right back," Oliver said. We watched as him and Cole walked to get something else to eat.
Christine had brought her lunch today. A grilled cheese sandwich, a Coke-a-Cola, half of a cookies and cream bar, two bags of chips, and chocolate covered strawberries.
Chrissy offered some of her food since I didn't get in line to get food. I refused.
She offered half her sandwich.
I refused.
She offered her soda.
I refused.
She offered the whole half of coolies and cream bar.
Refused.
She offered her chips.
Refused once again.
She offered her strawberries.
Guess what?
I refused.
"You seriously need to eat," Chrissy said.
"I'm not hungry," I protested.
"Please tell me you're not doing this again," Chrissy's eyes filled with sorrow and worry.
"What are you talking-" Chrissy looked at me with serious eyes.
"You know what I mean," Chrissy warned.
"It's just the new meds. That's all," I reassured.
"No it's not," Chrissy began to argue. "Before you met ..... him .... you only ate like half a sandwich and maybe a bag of chips. When you did meet .... him..... you just ate the bags of chips. Now that he's .... gone.....you barely even eat. Not eating isn't good. It's not healthy," Chrissy always did talks like this when she was worried about me.
The way she tried so hard not to say his name .....
Yeah I haven't eaten in a while. It doesn't mean anything. I'm fine. Totally fine. I'm sure. I have a small appetite that's all.
"It's not like I'm throwing up. 'Cause last time I checked I would've needed something in my stomach to throw up," I said matter of factly.
"Good," Chrissy said.
She continued to munch on her sandwich slowly eyeing me closely. I just looked sat there staring out of space. If that made sense.
"What time did you sleep, Lily?"
