Lily's POV
Noah and I were walking around Central Park (once again) that early morning. The sound of passing cars and early joggers' music blasting from their ears filled the morning air.
Noah sipped on the coffee we were sharing. It's been a week since graduation. Everyone's been on vacation or asleep. Katy had gone to Hawaii for a little bit. Chrissy had gone to Florida then to England. Everyone else just all over the place.
Noah's hand- warm from coffee cup- slipped into mine- casually of course. No words haven't been exchanged and it has been almost an hour. I soaked up every inch of my surroundings. We stumbled upon a bench and decided to sit down.
"You know this... This is nice...," Noah breathed out. "I wish my mom could see this..." He sighed.
"Why don't you bring her here one day?" I asked quietly.
"If she wasn't working so hard then maybe she would have off time..." He sighed. "I-I-I just... I mean... I just wish..." I cut him because I could tell he was tearing up.
"Sorry I asked," I apologized.
"No no it's fine... I just paranoid because if I'm off to college and my mom is constantly working... my sisters..." he let out.
"Hey hey don't worry breathe just enjoy right now don't cry on me now," I reassured.
Noah took a deep breath and rested his head into my shoulder despite the fact I'm shorter than him. I took a deep breath as well realizing I'm under the same situation. Once I'm off to college, my brothers are going to be on their own. None of them haven't even fully gone through puberty. None of them are in high school. I've always known this was going to happen, but I never realized what would've had happened once I was gone.
Before I could continue my thoughts, Noah interrupts, "Let's change the subject okay?" I just gave a small "Yes" and let him change the subject.
We watched as many pedestrians walked by. Kids of all ages on their bikes and skateboards. Parents on phones. Babies in strollers. Elderly couples sitting in the benches. All minding their own business. And there was us... Watching those people minding their own business and going on with their lives.
"Ya know something?" I began to wonder. Noah lifted his head and looked at me with questioning eyes. "If we had not met each other we would be completely different people? Do ever wonder what life would have been if we had not met each other? Like...we could have been just a little bit different....-"
He cut me off by grabbing my face and kissing me. From the corner of my eyes I saw little kids give those "ew cooties" expression and parents covering children's eyes. He held my face in his hands and never let go. He spent the next five minutes staring into my eyes.
"I could never imagine a life without you. I mean we haven't known each other very long. But -" Noah begins to stand on the bench, "I love you..., " his voice begins to rise, "I love you not like an 'I love you' wear it's just a nice thing to say...I legitimately love you. My heart would freaking die without you. I love you because you saved me. I love you, Lillian Ashford!" He shouted. I laughed as passing families begin to stare.
"Noah lower your voice people are staring!" I chuckled.
"No!" He shouted. He was smiling ear to ear. He jumped down from the bench and began shouting more. "I love you! And I love everything about you! I love you! I love you! I love you Lillian Ashford! I love you!" He began running I quickly followed behind. He began chanting those words as he ran. The amount of adrenaline was so much. I was laughing at him. At the weird looks from the people around. At the fact he's my boyfriend.
