Lily's POV

"Miss...miss...miss...," I heard a voice say.

My eyes flutter opened. My body aching in pain. I sat up slowly. I looked everywhere. I saw Talia and Chrissy fast asleep in the chairs. I lied across the lobby couch. I don't understand why we were in the lobby because my family was no where near the lobby.

"We need you three to go to the waiting room on the floor above. If that was okay..." I looked at who was talking to me. He was probably in his late twenties. Maybe early thirties. He had ID with him. It had said, "Greg".

"Oh okay," I responded.

I woken up Talia and Chrissy and tried my best to dragged them to the floor above. We trudged threw each hallway until getting to the nearest waiting area. Once they sat down, they were fast asleep. I looked at the clock it was only 11:36 P. M. We had only been here since eight.

I walked around because once I'm awake I'm awake. I looked for a vending machine. I hadn't exactly eaten dinner and I'm pretty sure Maggie had eaten it by now. About five minutes later I forgot what I was doing, and just walked around the floor.

The sounds of all the machines, clicks of mouses from computers, squealing of wheels down the halls, and the murmured voices from most of the patients up at this hour. I tried to remember everything that happened just a few hours ago. Every time I did...it felt like a horrid nightmare and I was really back home fast asleep. The thing was this was the same hospital my mom died in. The table where I hid under was exactly where it has been years ago. The jar of lollipops for the younger children that visit every so often was at the desk nearly empty. The chairs nearest to the operating room still there. Just before I knew it, I imagine everything that happened like it was happening right now.

All I saw was my small twelve year old self waiting for the doctors to tell her it was alright. Her eyes dead lock at the doors. She fiddled with her fingers. Like her very own mother, she was very anxious. Dealing with such severe problems at such a young age really damaged her.

The doctor came out. He wasn't overjoyed. Words were coming out of the doctors mouth. The little girl rushed into the room, and a few minutes later her eyes puffy and red. Her eyes bloodshot from being up so late. Her hands fiddling so crazily it frighten her own self.

She's not dead...I heard her whisper in her head.

She can't be...

Her family looking at her with concerned looks. They tried to tell her everything. She was screaming, "No! No! NOO! It can't be! She can't be!"

She was running away. I saw her running away. Running in fear not knowing where she was going. I saw running towards the desk where the table was. She hid under the table bawling her eyes out. She fiddled with her fingers more and more. She was rocking back and forth. Tears just streaming down her face. Then there was a nurse that tried to help her up. Giving her a lollipop even if she was only twelve she gave it to her to calm her down. The nurse didn't leave her side. She was going to call her family, but she didn't.

Next thing I knew I saw the little girl again. In her room with all the lights dimmed and her mother's stuff surrounding her. Her curtains covering the whole window. She cried and cried. She threw her hands into the air. The girl tried screaming, but nothing came out. With pounding her fist to her bed, rocking back and forth, and crying tremendously, she gave up and walked to her balcony.
