Mal's POV

Charlotte screamed and fainted in my arms as Fairy Godmother spoke to her. Everyone gasped and I went over to lay her on the window seat. "Guys, I'm really confused. Why is she acting this way!?" I asked them, slightly annoyed at them. Belle and Adam looked at each other, then to Ben and Fairy Godmother. "It's... it's to do with the door." Ben started. He didn't want to continue, so FG (Fairy Godmother) did. "When Ben went through as a child, Maleficent put a curse on it so it only opened to a chosen one. Ben was taken back and the door was locked and forgotten. But your mother never forgot. She searched and searched for the correct person as you were growing up, and eventually found the Cheshire Cat." She started. She sighed and shook her head before continuing. "Maleficent said to him that his firstborn child would be cursed. That they would grow up to be the chosen child. That door was the only way that villains could get into Auradon, and she was determined to make her plan perfect. But Cheshire didn't want that, so held off having kids for as long as possible."

"Then Charlotte was born. That's my fault." I cut her off. Everyone looked at me curiously. "What on earth do you mean, dear?" FG asked me. I pinched the bridge of my nose as I replied, "It's hard to explain. Not even Evie knows what I did." Memories of that night started flooding my mind and I  couldn't help but think about them.

I had managed to sneak out without anyone noticing me. It was nine at night, so everyone would be asleep anyway. Pulling my leather jacket on properly, I walked out to the courtyard where my (Is it a scooter? I'm calling it a bike.) bike was sat waiting in the bushes. Pulling it out, I put my helmet on and started the engine. To be honest, I didn't know why I was going to the Isle, it just felt right to be there at this time. As I roared along, I started thinking about what to do at the Isle. I'd have to avoid Uma and her gang at all costs, but I guess I could visit my old home. It is abandoned after all. I stopped at the cliff edge and looked towards the Isle. "Beware, foreswear, you shall take me anywhere," I muttered before revving the engine and riding off to the Isle. I remember doing this a few years ago.

Reaching the Isle, I parked my bike under the bridge, near the docks, and covered it with a dust sheet (Idk what they're actually called.) I put my helmet there as well, before walking off in a random direction. "Where do you think you're going, Mal?" I heard a voice say behind me. I turned to see the Cheshire Cat, who was sat on top of my bike and smiling like an idiot as usual. "Long time, no see. I'm sure Uma would love to know you're here!" He smirked, walking over to me. I rolled my eyes and replied, "I'm only here for a while. I don't know why - it just felt right. You can tell her if you want, but you would also have to tell her about your wife if you did." I smirked as I led him into my trap. His smile dropped and he changed into human form. "You wouldn't dare." He breathed. I looked him in the eyes and muttered, "Oh I would. So, what's it gonna be?"

"You-"

"Me what?"

"Fine! But just this once."

"That's a good kitty cat. Go on, I bet Shenzi is waiting."

He glared at me before disappearing into the darkness, leaving me to go back to what I was doing. Wait, what was I doing again?

Evie's phone went off and she looked at it. "Wait, when did Cheshire get my number?" She asked, handing the phone to me. I looked at the message and gasped. Come to the Isle, alone. NOW. It read. I stood up quickly and got changed into my VK outfit, before grabbing the keys to my bike and running out the room. "Tell Ben I'll be back soon! Don't tell him where I am though!" I called to Evie as she looked out the door. I ran as fast as I could to the garage where my bike was, before pulling it out and setting off to the Isle. I'd have to go the same way I had nine months ago, so headed to the cliff edge.
