Still Kono's POV
This can't be right. We've been walking for an hour and every minute or so, the path had glitches from white ti red and back to red. But I feel like it's just me that's seeing it because Charlotte seems oblivion to it. And she's staring at the goddam path!
I think she's keeping something from me. But I don't want to anger her and ask. Shall I keep quiet? Do I tell her about the path? I don't know what to do.
Charlotte's POV
If this path keeps changing then I'll turn us around and run back, but we've gone too far and the path behind us has disappeared.
I need to tell Kono why Bayard and his children attacked him. But if I do, he'll turn on me too and leave me. Why is this so hard!? Why can't I just have to same confidence as the Cheshire Cat and actually tell Kono I'm not who he thinks I am. Oh wait, that's because Charlotte is the daughter if the Cheshire Cat and I'm not. Ugh, my mother owes me big time!
"Kitten, you do realize the path keeps changing colour, don't you?" Kono asked. Ugh, that's a horrid nickname. I looked at him and nodded, "Yes I know. It happens with all the paths in Wonderland. It's just to confuse the travellers." He nodded and I sighed in relief slightly.
Are you here yet!? I heard my mother yell. Only I cam hear her though, which is a bit weird. Yes! Nearly! I called back, but in a way that only she can hear. It's a bit weird really. Hannah can do it too, if she was here. We've heard her so many times, but never amswered incase we scared her. How old is she now? Nine, ten?
She can come to Wonderland soon.
