Everything Happens for a Reason- A Jemi Love Story

Episode 21

It was the next day when Demi was pacing  around the living area of the tour bus every now and again looking at the clock seeing how long it had been since they left. Joe and Scarlett only went out taking Sadie with them to go get some groceries for the bus but that was over two hours ago so Demi being a women is worrying that something has happened. Wilmer is the one sat down on the couch enjoying a cup of coffee starting to get a bit frustrated that Demi won't sit down and stay still obvious not what could have happened to the three of them. Wilmer takes a sip of his coffee before groaning out loud placing the mug on the coffee table grabbing Demi by the waist sitting her down on the couch beside him making Demi groan herself.

"Wilmer!" She lectures standing back up beginning to pace around the room again. "Where could they be? It's been over two hours." Demi expresses running her fingers through her hair, she had become quite close to all three of them over the past couple of weeks that they have joined her on the tour and she would hate it if anything were to happen to them. They had left New Jersey so she wouldn't even have any idea how to contact their families if something were to.

"I don't get why you care so much." Wilmer mumbles but Demi still heard him, she turns on her heel so she is facing him.

"What?" She questions, he just sighs knowing it probably weren't the best thing for him to say in this situation, he knows how she can be when someone she cares about could be in danger. He Looks up at her before speaking.

"I didn't mean to say it baby." He states and she shakes her head in disagreement.

"Of course you did, you never liked Joe from the start, the thing is I never knew why so please tell me." She states her right hand on her right hip. He sighs not knowing how to tell her this, he'll just seem like a jealous boyfriend. He doesn't want to hurt her in anyway, he loves her too much to do anything like that.

"When he first came in for the interview, it really seemed like he was flirting with you." He explains simply. Demi thinks about it slightly before answering.

"What did you say to him when you went to go get him to talk to me?" Demi questions taking a seat next to him but not too close to him.

"Um I just explained that you were mine and if he does anything funny it would be the last thing he would do," He admitted and Demi takes a deep breath leaning back on the seat running her fingers through her now brunette hair. She then debates what to say next, how can you say anything to that because to her it seems like he is being over protective. Demi doesn't say anything, just stays completely silent and still. "Demi please say something." Wilmer urges turning his body so they are facing each over without having to turn their necks.

"I don't know what to say." She mumbles her eyes still staring down at the cushion she is sat on.

"I'm sorry Demi but it's how I feel and I'm sorry if I hurt you in any way."

"Can I have some time to think?" She questions.

"Sure, I'll just go meet some friends for a couple of hours." He states before standing up and kissing her head. He slips his shoes on and a jacket sliding his phone in his pocket before heading out the door closing it gently behind him.

Demi looks up at the clock once more before sighing placing her sandwich back down on the plate, she is now convinced that something has happened to the three of them. She knows Joe would have called to explain where they are, after all they were only going for groceries. She checks her phone again seeing no messages or calls, she was about to put it back down on the coffee table until it started ringing. She looks at the ID seeing it unknown but a private number, she hits the call button before bringing it up to her ear.

"Hi, this is Demi." She says dreading to know who is on the other line.
