Everything Happens for a Reason- A Jemi Love Story

Episode 48

Joe takes a deep breath looking down at the floor not even wanting to see Demi's expression. He feels as if he's failed her and being a dad to his son and he'd been born for less than a day.  He feels as if he failed his son before he even entered the world and he can't help but want to make that up to him by trying to be the best dad he can now.  

"I don't know why I did, I just thought you'd want some space I guess." Joe expresses, Demi sighs rocking Sadie back and forth gently as she starts whimpering sensing the tension between the two of them. Demi had done some thinking over the past couple of hours but is still so confused on what she wants from him. She still feels as if she still has some feelings for him but at the same time feels a bit of hatred for him over the whole situation. As for Joe he has been in love with her for a couple of months now up hadn't told her yet, he doesn't want to jump into anything too quickly for her.

"I thought you walked out because you never wanted to see me or Zane again, I thought I lost you." Demi confesses Joe smiling slightly.

"You'll never lose me Dems, we have a son together and I'm not about to leave you alone to raise him," Joe expresses making Demi smile leaning over kissing him Joe kissing back instantly smiling through the kiss. They pull away when Sadie slaps Joe on the face gently as if to say he isn't allowed to do kiss her. They both laugh Joe taking Sadie from Demi's lap standing her up on his legs. "That wasn't nice baby girl."

"Says you who said to put her on the pill when she was born." Demi teases and Joe groans.

"Who told you that?" Joe questions knowing when Sadie was born that hadn't even met, Joe was still a football superstar living out his dream. He'd never have thought he'd end up dating the famous Demi Lovato, he always thought Scarlett was going to be the one he'd spend the rest of his life with. It just proves how much life can change in such a sort amount of time.

It was later on that day when Demi was realised from hospital ready to take Zane home with her. Everything is perfectly fine, Zane is healthy and the right weight and size and Demi is also fine besides aching a bit but that is expected. Joe wonders into the room smiling when he sees Demi holding onto her son as he sleeps peacefully.

"I'll never get used to seeing that." Joe states making Demi smile wider then she already was.

"I'm so in love with him already." Demi admits and Joe smiles leaning down kissing both of their head before standing up straight again.

"There are loads of reporters outside so put him in the car seat and cover with a blanket, it's quite sunny anyway so we don't want him to become blinded." Joe suggests and Demi nods laying Zane down in the car seat allowing Joe to show her how to strap him up securely before covering the entrance with a holy blanket before holding the handle.

"Ready." Demi states and Joe smiles taking hold of her hand as they leave the hospital their son sound asleep in car seat.

 Demi sighs of relief when they get into Joe's parents house away from the reporters. Demi didn't want Joe's family to become hounded suggesting they just go to Demi's house but Joe said it didn't matter. They wonder into the living room smiling when everyone comes over to meet the new addition to the family. Demi places the car seat on the coffee table taking the blanket off revealing Zane sleeping peacefully. Everyone awes making Joe and Demi smile.

"Your right Joe he does like you." Denise reveals.

"He has Demi's eyes." Joe states everyone looking down at the little boy in the car seat who begins whimpering.

"Ugh! that smells!" Nick exclaims evacuating the room along with Kevin, Danielle, Frankie making Joe, Demi and Denise laugh.
