Joe kisses Demi back attempted not to turn it heated know any member of his family could walk in at any time. Demi doesn't want to be doing this now still feeling weary about what he really wants, she just doesn't want a fling, she's at the stage where she wants a serious relationship where she is not being played. They were interrupted by someone walking in not that they pull away, just keep it going, Joe knew it wasn't his mom so he doesn't care if it was anyone else.

"Joseph can we talk?" Nick questions Kevin stood by his side. Joe ignores them making Demi being the one to pull away.

"Talk  to them." She murmurs and Joe nods climbing off the couch following his brothers up the stairs into his old room. The room where Demi and Scarlett had managed to convince him to start playing again, since then he barely puts down his guitar but Demi doesn't care. She likes to see him with a guitar and loves to hear him sing even more, she doesn't hear that often as it is. There are plenty more memories in this room, the place where he first self harmed, the place he convinced himself to stop and the place his first kiss with Scarlett was. Some good, some bad.

"What's this about?" Joe questions climbing onto his old bed his back leaning against the headboard as he starts to play with his fingers.

"Scarlett died just three months ago and your already moved on?" Nick questions and Joe shrugs.

"So?" he questions not looking up from his fingers.

"Are you sure it's what you want?" Kevin asks and Joe shrugs again. "You don't really like her, you just want to find love with someone else and Demi was the girl who was there at the time, am I right?" Kevin states, that was the moment Joe looks up from his hands.

"No you're not, I really like Demi," He begins standing up of the bed. "She was the only person there for me when she went, I didn't notice any of you rushing to be by my side even if I was out of town." Joe snaps before leaving the room turning Nick and Kevin slightly into shock. That isn't their brother, it seemed to just be a stranger who looks a lot like him.

Joe walks back through from laying Sadie down in her crib before taking a seat next to Demi. He looks at her concentrating on the screen about the news smiling slightly. He then begins wondering whether his brothers were right earlier day when they confronted him about the whole kissing Demi on their parents couch situation. They can't be can they?

"Demi." Joe says simply making her looks up from the screen to his face.

"What?" She questions sighing and pushing his face away as he gets closer to her ready to plant a kiss onto her lips.

"Don't you want me to kiss you?" Joe questions confused on what had just happened.

"Joe what are we?" She questions and Joe groans leaning back on the couch. "I don't want to be played with, we're either together or not."

"I don't know okay." He states putting his hands to cover his face in frustration.

"What do you mean?" Demi inquires switching off the TV.

"I kind of feel guilty as if I'm cheating on Scarlett, I don't want to ask you out if all I'm going to feel is this. I wanted to realise my feelings by I guess kissing you before I committed us into anything." Joe explains Demi not helping but awing at his comment making him grin.

"It's okay to feel that way but I don't want to be played with, figure out how you feel then come back to me." Demi suggests and Joe nods.

"Does that mean I can't kiss you?" Joe answer and Demi rolls her eyes.

"Yes it does." Demi instructs making Joe groan.

"But I like kissing you!" He exclaims and she laughs smacking his chest gently before her hands finds its way back down to her stomach as if she needs to keep it there to protect her baby from any harm not that Demi can see or feel any. Everything seems to be going perfect.
