Episode 27

Joe lets the tears roll gently down his cheek as he stares down at her grave stone. It had been a tough couple of months for Joe attempting to care for his sick Fiancé while he was still trying to recover from the crash himself, Demi had to tell him a couple of times to relax himself but he'd had none of it. He knew it was nearly time when Scarlett was just too weak to get out of bed. All he can think about it her being too young to die. His glance doesn't move as someone stands by his side but he can sense it's Demi, the one person who has been with him helping him get through it.

"At least she went painless in her sleep." Demi states taking hold of his hand in a friendly and comforting way. That is a positive point compared to all the negative ones. Joe takes a deep breath not even attempting to stop the tears from falling.

"Thanks for helping me out with the funeral." He says.

"It's fine honestly," Demi says hugging him back as he hugs her. Demi's fans still don't know what's wrong with their role model, Demi hadn't either been the same since they'd found out Scarlett had cancer and didn't have long left but she didn't think it was her role to say why. Demi pulls away from the hug giving him a kiss on the cheek. "I know you probably don't want to but go talk with your family, they will be better comfort for you at the moment." Demi encourages and Joe nods wondering off after having another glance at her grave stone.

Demi lets a shaky sigh realise from her lips as she watches Joe trudge into his bedroom his head hung low, she feels a hand on her back rubbing it gently knowing that's Wilmer's touch. She can't help but be worried about him, especially after what she had heard about during the past. Her eyes begins watering when she hears him crying hysterically feeling Wilmer's hand stop and arm wrap around her waist.

"Leave him to let it all out." He whispers in her ear and she nods sitting down on the couch bringing him down with her snuggling into his chest. He kisses her head wrapping his arm back around her switching the TV in hope to drown out the sobs coming from across the bus which is making Demi so tense and unsettled. They sit there for a couple of moments watching the TV, or at least Demi is trying her best but can't take her mind of everything that has gone on over the past couple of days.

"I can't do this." She says getting out of his grip rushing into his room and over to him gathering him up into her arms allowing him to cry into the nape of her neck which makes him feel a little better. He just can't get his mind away from her and all the memories he's had with Scarlett, good ones and also bad ones. Demi lets her tears fall hating seeing him so hysterical, she doesn't like anyone crying but for some reason Joe crying makes her more upset. Joe's grip on her loosens as he begins calming down in her eyes but only because he cried himself to sleep. Demi takes a deep breath not moving a muscle to disturb him, she'd hate for him to wake up again.

"Is he okay?" Wilmer whispers peering into the now silent room trying to sound concerned, Demi could tell he wasn't.

"I don't know." She admits quietly again, she begins stroking his cheek remembering that he likes it when someone does that. She can remembering Scarlett telling her that he did when she used to do it only because she heard it from his mom.

"Sadie is crying." He whispers and Demi sighs gently lifting Joe's arm up so she can get out of his grip, she didn't want to leave him but as if Wilmer would know what to do with Sadie. They both wonder through into living area where Demi picks up a crying Sadie. 

"What's wrong Sadie?" She questions as if she will actually answer.

"I think it's her diaper." Wilmer says holding onto his nose. Demi laughs slightly before laying her down on the couch taking off her tiny pants. She pulls them back up when she's done making Sadie calm down nearly instantly. Demi will keep her promise to Scarlett, be Sadie's motherly figure and nobody will make her not be.
