Episode 36

Back from college and knackered lol

It was 1am the next morning when Demi was woken up by screaming but not any screaming she is used to hearing, not screams from a young baby but manly screams coming from the room next to hers. Demi rushes out of bed not caring that she is still half asleep rushing through into Joe's room seeing him shaking on the bed . She darts over beginning to shake him awake sighing of relief when he does him sitting up quickly breathing heavy. 

"Are you okay?" She questions laying him back down on the bed gently taking his hand that is still shaking. He closes his eyes gently not answering her just gaining his breath back as he the nightmare he had replies in his mind. 

"S-Stay with me?" He stammers. 

"Of course, I'll just see if Sadie is okay." She states letting him know that she will leave his side but still be close by. She makes her way over to the crib peering in seeing Sadie still fast asleep not even stirred by Joe's strange behaviour. She lays down on the bed next to Joe who is still obviously overwhelmed by the whole situation allowing him to hold her as they both drift off to sleep Demi taking longer than Joe just worried about what she had just experienced. 

Joe wakes up that next morning hearing Sadie cry, he feels next to him not feeling Demi beside him but he didn't expect any less, he's always the last up. He climbs up of his bed making his way over to his daughter picking her up laying her on the bed, he changes her diaper sighing when she doesn't stop crying or even calm down. He takes her back into his arms wondering downstairs greeting Demi in the living room before making his way into the kitchen beginning to make a bottle. He takes a seat on a stool putting the end of the bottle into Sadie's mouth beginning to watch her feed from the bottle as if it was her mother's breast.

"You okay now?" Demi questions walking in beginning to stack her breakfast pots into the dishwasher after switching the kettle on to make him a coffee. 

"I guess so." Joe says through a sigh. 

"What happened?" Demi questions but Joe doesn't look up from his daughter who is starting to feed at a slowly pace. 

"Bad dream." He states.

"You want to talk about it?" Demi questions and Joe shakes his head. Demi carries on loading the dishwasher as Joe finishes off feeding Sadie. Joe lays Sadie down in the crib wondering back into the kitchen sitting down beginning to eat his cereal not being in the mood for something heavy on his stomach, that's the last thing he wants. 

"What are we doing today?" Joe questions Demi not helping but smiling slightly. 

"I have my twelve week scan." Demi states and he smiles slightly as well not believing that there is a person growing inside of her. 

"Who do you think the father is?" Joe questions curious whether she actually knows but was saying she didn't know in-front of Wilmer. Demi shrugs shaking her head gently. 

"I have no idea, it must have been that night I got drunk because I haven't had sex with anyone else. I woke up back in the tour bus on my bed with my pyjamas on." Demi explains and Joe furrows his eyebrows together trying to think through the situation but he can't, it doesn't seem to make much sense to him at all. 

"What times the appointment?" He questions taking another spoonful of his breakfast. 

"11 but I want to get there early and probably drive around a bit so reporters don't know where I'm going." She states. 

"Doesn't matter too much, I have to take Sadie so you could just say you were going for a check up." Joe says and Demi laughs. 

"Good plan Joseph." She jokes laughing again when he sticks his tongue out at her.
