  Taylor
We didn't pull away until we heard the door swing open. Her father was standing at the door way with Jason behind him.

"What were you two doing in here?!" he asked furiously.

Brenda stepped away from me. "Nothing Dad! Really. We weren't do-"

he interrupted her. "Don't lie to me young lady. I saw you kissing that boy! And you get away from my daughter!" he turned to me angrily. I swear he was so red with anger, I thought smoke was going to come out of his ears.

I stepped farther away from her. "I'm sorry to disrespect you by kissing your daughter, sir," I apologized. "I understand that she's daddy's little girl but I promise to you that I don't plan on ever hurting her. The last thing in the world I want is to see her cry with a broken heart." Her mother and older brother walked in to see what was going on. Jason filled them in on what they missed.

"You can apologize a thousand times but I'll never accept it. You were a horrible child when I first seen you. I knew that I had to be careful when it came to my daughter. Get out of here and don't let me find you here again!" he said.

I took a step forward when all of sudden, Trey said, "chill down dad. Your being too hard on them. Even Brittney's dad isn't as strict like you and he's a cop!"

Mrs. Hernandez stepped in before her husband could speak again, "you need to relax honey. Taylor was always a good boy when he came over for play dates. Besides that was once us and my father didn't accept you either. He thought you were a mistake but he learned to accept you."

They continued their family moment as I remembered about the computer. I quickly logged off of facebook and the internet before he could lay his eyes on the screen. Trey and Jason were actually paying attention to what we were doing so they actually saw the picture. I looked over at Brenda who was now sitting on her bed, waiting for her punishment. "I should probably go home," I said.

Mrs. Hernandez shook her head no, "it's alright, you can stay here. Mr. Hernandez is just being stubborn." I sat down by Brenda as her mom dragged her dad out of the room. Trey and Jason walked in and shut the door.

"If you guys are going to be doing that in here, at least be careful no to kiss when Dad gets home," Trey said as he leaned against the dresser. Jason sat facing us on the computer chair, watching as Brenda hid her face.

"So Taylor, who was that girl in the picture?" he asked in his annoying tone.

"Shut up. Don't ask," I told him.

Trey smiled at his little sister, "relax Brenda. Mom's talking to him right now. You remember how he was when I first brought Brittney home."

She nodded, "he wasn't as angry then as he is now."

Jason looked over to him. "I never heard that story," he said as if expecting them to tell.

"It was the first time I brought her here and I took her to my room to give us some privacy. Basically, we lost track of time and Dad caught us. He was so mad but he wasn't about to explode like he did today. He made me take her home then I had to do so many chores." Jason laughed.

I turned to Brenda, "calm down. If you do, I'll tell you a little bit more of the association." She looked up at me and nodded. Trey and Jason raised their eyebrows with confusion.

"What association?" Trey asked me.

"I am a member of a secret association. We do dangerous jobs that no regular human being could do," I told them.

"What association is that? What kind of jobs do you do?" Trey asked.

I smirked, "let's just say we track beasts down."

Jason shook his head, "I don't believe this organization even exist."

I rolled my eyes at him, "of course you don't believe me. The ASSOCIATION is top secret. I'm risking more than my position, I'm risking my job there by just telling you guys this." We could still hear their parents shouting at each other from the living room. "Don't tell anyone about it alright. I have to go back to work at the cafe. I guess I'll see you guys later?" I told them.

Honestly, I'm not even sure that I will be able to come back here after today. They nodded as I walked out of the room. I saw her parents still arguing so I stopped by the door. "Sorry again, sir. I never meant to disrespect you in any way. I know you don't like me hanging out with your daughter but with your permission, I would like to continue staying by her side until she doesn't need me or she pushes me away." I told him. He stayed silent as I opened the door and walked out. I grabbed my backpack and walked home to change into my work uniform. I had a feeling that someone was watching me but I chose to ignore it. I walked up the steps to my house and walked in. "Hey mom, what's new?" I asked her.

She handed me a file and said, "examine this after work. What about you? Anything new?"

I walked into my room and began changing my shirt as I said, "nothing much. Brenda's father said he thought I was a horrible child when he first saw me." I closed the door as I changed my pants and shoes. When I walked out of my room, Mom asked me a few questions that I refused to answer. After a minute passed, she dropped the subject and I walked out of the house.

The cafe wasn't as busy as it usually was. It was kind of slow. It was dark and raining when I locked up the cafe. I went out the back way but the feeling I felt on my way here, grew. I came to a stop as I noticed something in the corner of my eye. A shadow was running by a wall. I decided to follow it until it led me to the forbidden woods. This time I actually saw a girl running inside. The shadow must belong to her. I couldn't tell who it was, the girl was wearing the hood of her cloak on her head. I ran after her, "hey wait! Do you need help?"

She looked back at me but then continued running. I ran behind her, following until I lost her near a clearing.

"Hello? Is anyone here?" I called out.

I looked all around as I walked into the clearing. "Hello Taylor. I've been waiting for you," a voice said behind me. I turned around and suddenly a girl appeared in the middle of the clearing, watching me.

"Who are you? What do you want with me?" I shouted back at her.

"Stupid boy. You never learn." She took off her hood and looked back up at me. Ann-Marie was the one who led me here. "Come here, if you want to know the truth about the death of your parents," she said with an evil look in her eyes.

I stepped forward three steps, "what do you know about them? They were murdered by a vampire for protecting me."

She shook her head no. "That's so sad. You were never told what you were born into," she said.

I stepped closer, "if you know, then tell me. Why were my parents killed?"

She turned around as if she was about to leave. "You're not going anywhere until you explain this to me," I walked over and grabbed her shoulder. The rain poured harder as she pushed my hand away.

She turned back to me, "Long ago, a young teen couple had sold their unborn child to two strangers who could not "have" anymore children. Eight months later, the child was born a healthy baby boy. The mother became attached to the newborn child that she swore to protect him with her life. As the boy grew, the couple went into hiding. Changing their names everywhere they went, they did a great job of hiding. One day, news got out that a certain child and the vampire couple left to search for their property. When the parents saw the vampires lurking closer and closer to the boy, they hid him. Vampires found him one day in a front yard, they asked him for his name and if he lived in the house. Foolishly, the boy answered and the next day, your parents were killed and you were taken. Originally, the vampires wanted to add a son to their family but when they saw the fire in the boys eyes, they knew he was the one."

What? It was my fault that my parents were found? That can't be true! "Liar, my parents never sold me to a filthy vampire!" I said angrily.

She shook her head, "don't believe me then. Now you get to join us."

I didn't know what she meant until she wrapped her arms around me. I couldn't move my arms to push her away nor could I back away from her. She began licking my neck as I got a faint smell from her.

The smell of death is all over her. "You're a vampire!" I said but it was too late. She sank her teeth deep into my neck. No! How could I let this happen!
