  Taylor
We stayed silent for a few minutes, listening to the sounds of cars as they drive by. I heard a loud, familiar giggle coming from inside the woods. It got louder and louder until I could no longer ignore it. I turned my attention to the woods as her words reached my ears.

"Taylor, join us. Come join us, Taylor. We're waiting for you," her voice called.

"Taylor? Are you okay? Is something wrong?" Brenda asked me, regaining my attention. I didn't realize that I had stopped walking.

"I'm fine, nothing's...Ah!" I couldn't focus on anything. My head felt as if it was about to explode. Ann-Marie's voice filled my head, growing painfully louder by the minute. I fell to my knees, clutching my head to keep it in one piece.

"Taylor, come with us! Join us!," she called again. I ignored every outside noise as possible and shouted "leave me alone!" at the woods. Brenda fell beside me, worried.

"Taylor, what's wrong? Who needs to leave you alone?" she asked me. I hated seeing her look so helpless, especially for a guy like me.

"Her. Ann-Marie turned me in to this blood thirty beast and now she has a twenty four hour access to bug me inside my own head," I explained to her. She stared off into the woods, carefully watching something in the distance. As the pain subsided, I stopped clutching my head and looked into the woods. I could clearly see Ann-Marie twirling around the trees like a young child. An innocent grin was placed on her face, making me want to smack it off her.

"Let's go before she gets closer," Brenda said as she helped me up to my feet. I nodded and started walking again. Unfortunately, a vampire has a hard time resisting a master's commands.

"I'm sorry, Brenda, but I have to do this. She's not gonna stop unless I go with her."

She shook her head no. "She causes you so much pain. I don't want to see you get hurt," she tried pulling me towards her block but I wouldn't budge.

"I'll be alright. I grew up knowing pain my whole life. It makes me stronger," I told her.

She tried pulling me again, "I don't care! One day, you might actually get killed! Even if you live forever, that doesn't mean you still can't be killed." I pulled my arm away from her. She's so afraid of me doing this but I have no other choice. I must complete my order. I walked towards the woods, ignoring Brenda's cries for me to turn back, and over to Ann-Marie.

"Hello, my little puppet. I knew you couldn't resist me. After all, who knows what your punishment would be if you do," Ann-Marie said mockingly as I got closer to her.

I rolled my eyes at her, "what do you want! I don't care what you do to me just tell me what you want me to do so I can get back to my life."

She grabbed my arm tenderly and led the way into the woods. "Taylor, there are some people I want you to meet. You never know who you might recognize after years of wasting your time with those delicious humans," She continued tp speak about how important it is that I show respect, but my mind was focused on someone else. I hope Brenda can forgive me one day. If it wasn't for her, I never would've had a normal high school life. I'd probably be obsessed with my job. Even when we were young, I was there to help her from bullies and she showed me games that I had forgotten how to play. Man... I wonder when I started falling for her.

"Taylor, are you even listening to me?" Ann-Marie asked, waving her hand in front of my face.

I lost my train of thought and focused my attention back to her. "No. I don't care who your forcing me to meet. If they're vampires, I'll report them back to the hunters association," I told her.

She shook her head no. "Trust me, you don't want to do that." I raised my eyebrow in suspicion. Is she afraid of something, or some one, that wants to meet me? She led me to the familiar clearing. I remember that night so clearly. This is the exact place where I was stripped of my human life.

"Why did you pick me? After all these years, I stayed in you radar but why?" I asked. I was in no mood for bed time stories.

"We kept a close eye on you so we could stop them. Your little Hunters association managed to decrease our population over the years by the hundreds. Little did they know that they were going after the wrong vampire."

I watched her with suspicion, "wrong vampire? We go after anything that hurts humans. Besides, the association never makes a mistake."

She grew silent as two dark figures approached us. The weird part is, one of the men looked exactly like me, except older. "Hello my lord, how was your journey?" Ann-Marie asked them.

"Horrible. The sun is too bright for the king of darkness to handle. I see you brought the boy," the older me said. King of darkness? I thought vampires were supposed to be king of the night.

"The boy has a name and can speak for himself," I said rudely. I honestly don't care who this guy is. I just want to leave this place. The man who has yet spoken raised his eyebrows at me as if he couldn't believe that I could speak. The other man punched me but I managed to block him before he could actually hit me. They smiled a devilish grin obviously impressed.

"Where did you find this one? He will certainly make a good addition to our army."

Ann-Marie pulled me back two steps before saying, "he is a vampire hunter. He is trained in human combat and is well known in his branch as a menace to all vampires." Does the association know this guy or his plan? Is this the reason why she wanted me to meet him.

"Is that so? Tell us little hunter, how do you like being one of us?" the king of darkness asked me.

"I have a name and I don't like being a vampire. I hate it," I said angrily.

"I'm disappointed, being a vampire is quite exhilarating. Especially when you hunt down those juicy humans... Or hunters," he watched for a reaction he was sure to get.

"I will not kill anyone who is human. It's blood thirsty monsters like you that I want to rid the world of." Ann-Marie slapped me and turned to the king of darkness.

"Forgive him sir, I'm trying to teach him to respect all vampire elders." The king raised his hand to silence her.

"It's alright. He was just stating his opinion. Unfortunately I must go, but this young vampire certainly qualifies as a candidate. Until we meet again," he turned back to the silent blonde man before walking away.

"Are you trying to get us killed?!" Ann-Marie shouted when they were out of earshot.

I rolled my eyes at her. "Leave me alone. I have to talk to Brenda," I told her. I walked out of there without a single glance back at her.
