  Jason
-Monday Morning-
I rushed into the meeting spot, knowing that each minute I'm late is another minute Jason's risking his life for. When I got there, the familiar scent of Japanese cherry blossoms mixed with death let me know that she was already there. Shit! I kept a close distance to them without giving away my position.

"She has to be gone by next Friday. Take her away from her home and bring her here. I'll take you both to a location where no hunter can reach." I heard Ann-Marie say.

"How would I get her to go with me?" Jason asked her.

She laughed as if it should be obvious. "Use your own skills and figure it out. I don't care how you bring the girl as long as she's here." Jason nodded okay and turned around to leave when Ann-Marie grabbed his arm. "One more thing before you go. Taylor will go mad trying to find her, but he will eventually find out about your involvement. When that happens, never return here. The hunter's association will be searching for you."

He nodded again and practically ran out of the woods. I was just about to follow him when I noticed Ann-Marie smile. "I know you're out there. Did you enjoy listening in to my conversation, Taylor?" I came out from my hiding place and walked over to her.

"You're not going to take her anywhere. She's under the protection of the Hunter's Association," I told her.

She rolled her eyes, "that bond humans have with hunters is a fragile thing. I wonder what would happen... If word got out that such a place exists. They would probably have it destroyed." Humans have no idea that our association exists and is hidden in the woods. If Ann-Marie was to expose the truth, it really would be the end of the hunter's era of protection.

"You wouldn't expose something like us without exposing yourself. Vampires get by their boring lives living in secrets," I told her.

She shrugged, "who says I will expose myself? There are many humans I could use in school."

I grabbed her shoulders and pushed her against a tree. "No one will be your puppet. As long as I'm around, I'll protect every student on the campus." I noticed her eyes turn red as she pressed herself against me.

"Don't move," she whispered in my ear. She began to kiss me, leaving a trail down to my neck, and started licking me. I tried to push her away, but I couldn't move. She bared her fangs before sinking them deep into my skin.

"What are you doing?" I asked her as she continued drinking blood. S

he pulled away and smiled. "I had a meal. You have been drinking human blood," she told me.

I pushed her away from me. "I have too. My diet of human food has been altered," I told her. I turned to walk away.

"Today marks a war between master and servant. You started this war when you got her involved," I told her.

She shook her head, "the war began with your new life. You're the one who got her involved in this fiasco you call life."

Jason waited patiently for me outside of the woods. "Where were you?!?! I could've died in there," he yelled at me.

"I was late. I had some business to take care of, but it took longer than it was supposed to," I explained.

He rolled his eyes, "let me guess, you went to see Brenda."

I shook my head no, "not exactly. I had to talk to her mother; also I had to get Trey's answer."

He shrugged, "whatever man. It doesn't matter what you do with her. She obviously chose you over me. See ya later, I'm going home."

I turned back to the direction of my house and began walking. I couldn't help but wonder who Ann-Marie is planning to use. She would most likely use a guy in her evil plan to get close to Brenda, considering the fact that they all love her. I could easily use the girls in school to watch over her, but it may seem suspicious if every girl was watching her for me. This may turn into an impossible mission. Maybe I should get back-up for this. As I walked into my home, my parents quickly lowered their weapons.

"Sorry son. We thought you were some other vampire," dad explained to me.

I rolled my eyes and walked to my room. "You always say that now... I'm the only one who would come here," I called out before closing the door to my room.

I turned on my stereo and popped in my Black Veil Brides CD. As the loud music filled the room, I got comfortable on my bed and stared at the ceiling. I have to know who Ann-Marie's going to use. Protecting about three hundred and fifty students with only one guard seems impossible, especially for someone with my rank. I have no choice but to call Parker, or maybe Hailey to help me. I pull out my phone and dial Hailey's number. It only rang twice when I heard Hailey's frustrated voice.

"What do you want, Taylor? I'm kind of busy over here," she told me. "How would you like to help me on an assignment? Ann-Marie is planning to use some students in order to get to a certain person." I told her.

She stayed silent for a few seconds before saying, "Taylor, I would love too, but I'm training Meagan right now. I'll help if I can, but I'll talk to you later." The phone clicked after that. Next, I dialed Parker's number. His phone only rang once when he answered.

"Parker Winston here, what's up Austin?" he told me in an obvious tone. That's how I knew he was still under cover.

"I need your help with something. You free for the rest of the week?" I asked him.

"Yes, why" he asked, wanting details. I could faintly hear Brenda's voice nearby, asking if Parker wanted a refill.

"You must do a pretty good job if she hasn't discovered you yet. Anyways, I need you to go undercover to my high school as a substitute teacher. My master is planning to use some students to get close to her."

He grew silent for about a minute before answering. "Alright, not a problem. Won't it seem a bit suspicious though?"

I sighed. "You just have to try hard to fit in."

That made him chuckle a bit. "Alright, I'll talk to you later, buddy," he said before the phone clicked.

Whoever she chooses should prey they don't lose their human lives. If that happens, I'll be forced to kill them. That's what I was raised to do.
