November 27th

Ever since I got the membership, I spend an hour or two in the gym every day. I plug my headphones in, listen to hype up songs, and pound those weights.

Even though I hate being interrupted during my workout sessions, a surprise visitor definitely caused me to immediately stop what I was doing.

"Hey, you're chase, right?" A voice called out to me from behind, and I instantly froze midway through a deadlift, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bother you." I placed the weight on the ground, and turned around to be met by a familiar pair of gleaming green eyes.

"Yeah, and you're Matt." I smiled, ignoring the developing pit in my stomach. I really hoped you weren't here, also, because I couldn't stand to face you after I was finally able to get myself somewhat together. I was terrified that if you were here it would send me spiraling back into my stage of depression, I couldn't bare going through that again after all the progress I made.

"Danielle's not here, in case you were wondering." Matt said, probably sensing my eyes that were frantically searching the gym for you.

"Well, just tell her I said hi." I awkwardly replied, turning back around with wide eyes to continue my workout. But, before I could continue, I felt I had to play that protective ex boyfriend role at least once. "Oh and Matt, you better treat her right. She deserves all the love in the world." Matt nodded his head, a goofy grin on his face, as he walked away.

By the way, Dani, I mean that. You really do deserve love and happiness, even if I'm not the one giving it to you.
